Couple Of newbie questions
Maybe I'm doing something wrong, but this is driving me bananas...There is an enemy city on a single square of land. I cannot unload my units onto the island to attack because it is completely occupied by the city. So I created a Transport and stocked it with marines. According to the game documentation, I should be able to unload the Marines directly into the city. This isn't working. Am I doing something wrong?
Also, is there a way to edit how much time you have to somplete the game? 2050 isn't nearly enough time, especially when I am playing with a largest-size map.
Thanks in advance for any help.

Sounds like you might have found a bug with the Marines.
Re: 2050, that's it.

Yes, I'm sure that marines are just completely broken and nobody else has noticed yet.

Have someone explain to you the meaning of "might have found". While you're at it, have them explain how a bug might (there's that word again!) exist that requires a particular circumstance that is encountered only once in a blue moon.
Rolling eyes indeed.

Seing as Spire2000 is a self-confessed newbie, chances are *much* higher that he is just using the units incorrectly, rather than it being a bug that no-one else has reported yet
As to using marines, i never have, so i cant tell you what you could potentially be doing wrong.
What does it say when you try to attack the city with marines??

Spire,
Can you post your save file? We would use the editor to create a testable scenario — but then if we had wings, we would fly.

Just had a thought on this.
Im guessing you are using the (L)oad command to try an unload the marines into the city. This wont work as your transport is not in a city. Rather, right click on your transport and holding down shift, select all your marines. You will then be able to attack the city with the marines.
Hope that helps

Whoa, Libertarian! Better get some Maalox before tomorrow, otherwise that built-up acid in your tummy could ruin Christmas in the Lib household!
I might also recommend listening to a copy of Alanis Morissette's "Jagged Little Pill" recording. It's a great exorcisor of bitterness
This post sponsored by the shameless desire to graduate from Settle status, with a special guest sponsor - having to work the day before Christmas while not having work to actually do!
Merry, Merry!
