Can't get Civ 2 MP to work with new laptop

Hi all!

My hubby and I would do Civ 2 MP through my desktop & his laptop. We got a new latop for the holidays and cannot seem to get it to connect to play.

The laptop is running XP and that is the only thing I can see that would be wrong. I can play SP on the laptop - just can't connect to the host machine (if my desktop is hosting) and the desktop can't connect to the new laptop if I try to host. Otherwise, nothing has changed. The old laptop can do the connection just fine.

Any suggestions?

Have you Down Loaded the Gold patch to both machines?

I didn't even know there was one.

After much more fiddling we did finally get it to work. Turns out my internet connection on the desktop said it was active but really wasn't.

I will look for the patch though! Thanks!
