Help : Tile-improvements Disapearing?
I love civ but ...
I have a problem with multiplayer mode ... the tile-improvements disappear on my client machine before they are completed (usually at the end of the client turn ) if they are built then they stay-put which is a relief but i sometimes loose 4 out of 6 improvements ... the server never displays this problem! (even if i exchange server / client machines the problem migrates with the client - so it cant be hardware).
I have a P4(winXP)-server and a celeron433(win98) -client ...
Anyone else seen this? got a solution?
Can a script mod be used to detect a build attempt an ensure a completion? - i suspect not - what i suspect is a sync problem within the engine/Comms-layer itself!
I must add i have'nt examined the scripting language in too much detail ... so heres hopeing a kind soul out there will know! Thanks!
Off the topic : why the hell did Mr mier leave out multiplay mode in civ3 ... all i can say is ... freaky!
