Railroad Tycoon 2
I finally got my hands on this game.... oh boy I'm going to be losing a lot of sleep, as it appears to be very addictive after playing the first scenario.
So does anyone have any tips on how to kick butt on this game?

After playing the game for some time it just get's annoying, because some simple things are missing in the game, but yes, it is fun the first two weeks

Simple things missing - like tunnels you mean? I couldn't believe they left that out!

Yeah, tunnels is something that just has to be in a railroad game...

Played it. Loved it. Was addicted to it for quite a while.
But yeah, some things could have been better...
Also, the last third of "The Second Century" expansion pack sort of... sucked...
Whoever came up with that storyline ought to get a good bonk in the head!
In general though, I'd have to say it's great game - with some potential for improvement.
Anyway, I hear there's a Railroad Tycoon III set to be released in August this year...

Hmmm...let's hope they make an free game this time. I hate to play the game against the AI, the AI spoiled the game. I'd like to be able to choose exactly the number of AIs in each level instead of having "This level has a minimum and maximum number of AIs".
To have just a little fun with the game I had to enter the editor, load the map, change minimum number of AIs (to ZERO), save the map and then start the game...I don't know about you, but I think that is a very dumb way to have to start the game in...

Definite that. There a lot of quirks that annoyed me after awhile. For example, you can only build bridges in certain areas and in certain ways. The inability to set priority for each route. The inability to build my own industries.
One thing that the game should have is the ability to build a route between two selected points according to a certain set of criteria, for example, cheapest, or shortest, etc. The game should tell me how much a route costs before I commit. I don't understand why the CEO of a rail line has to attend to these minor details.
