Please I need help!!
I'm playing on the real earth map. I have my borders from england to italy in a circle but now I started to expand in middle east africa. I have a production of about 8 shields per city but corruption takes 90% of them. My palace and forbidden palace are pretty close to each other. Should I build a palace in africa to lower corruption or it will just kill my production in my original starting point?

I have to know cause i can't Invade Zulus if I make musketman and cavalry every 40n turns

maybe the forbidden palace will keep corruption low in europe while the new palace kills corruption in africa.
...or will it? please help a wondering Babylonian

Thanks all!

Ok, first a couple of questions:

First off, do you have the v. 1.16 patch? If not, that's part of the problem, because it lowers corruption.

Second, just so I'm sure, you are playing on the standard world map that comes with the game? If so, I know the map well. If not, then no biggy, but I'll need a better idea of exactly where certain things are.

Third, moving your capitol will be tough (unless you have a leader). How far is the forbidden palace from your current capitol, and how important are the cities near your capitol? That's usually the core of your empire. The forbidden's effects on corruption are just like that of the palace, so if it's close enough, most of the cities will remain productive.

THIS IS KEY - What government are you using? Republic and Democracy, particularly democracy, have the lowest corruption.

Courthouses lower corruption, and later so do Police Stations.

Also, "We love the King Day" helps vs. corruption. WLTKD requires a city of at least size 6, with all 6 citizens happy...or at least half of them, with no unhappy faces. Whatever, it should be in the manual. Once it is in WLTKD for 1 full turn, you will notice a good-sized drop in shield loss.

Hope this helps.

the forbidden palace is a minor wonder.

as for the zulus you could build your units in your core cities and move them down there (easier if you can build rails down to their territory first) and then paste them.

Lomansik,

Neither the palace nor the forbidden palace can be rushed w/o a leader. Sorry. You may have just built your forbidden palace too close (admittedly, you need a leader to build the forbidden in the "right spot" - far from your palace) and you may just have to deal with corruption in Africa.
