(When) Is EUII out in England?
I haven't seen it around the shops, and was wondering if anyone knew when its due for release.

I checked Amazon, they don't even have it listed....

UBSoft are the publishers for Europe and the UK. They are aiming for a simultaneous release with all language versions.
The projected date is February.

Considering the game could have been released over a month ago, this is a most lamentable development

I quite agree - I expressed my disappointment that UbiSoft were to be the UK and European publishers when it was announced. When they announced a simultaneuos release in all languages my heart sank further
Seems I was justified......

1. We Canadians simply got the privilege of paying for a beta version.

2. The situation was reversed the last time around.

Yes - I know. As discussed elsewhere this was a Publisher decision (Strategy First) and amazed both Paradox and the Beta Testers.
Patch 1.02 has addressed a lot of the issues and 1.03 will go a lot further and also seal a few memory leaks.

EB has it for £29.99, same release date.

What is the RRP because I think I might pre-order with Amazon - is Amazon cheaper than expected or EB more expensive?

RRP is expected to be £30.
Pre ordering is a good idea. Ubisoft dont appear to be pushing it so I dont expect EB to get many copies in. Although there is still time for an advert or too......!
Go Amazon

Not to mention how 1.04 will perform.
Hello UD(it's really me!).

Yes, we betazoids were kinda amazed at their decision to release is so early.

Hello Carolus
Nice to see you here. Your input here will help those people who do not want to go to the official site. I dont have the commercial copy of EU2 yet and I gave up on the beta when it time expired the first time! I, like others, thought something was wrong with my setup and did a reformat. I didnt fancy downloading all those patches, new map, graphics etc again so I await the UK version

U know, that's what the milestones are for. So u won't need to get all 60 patches + map etc.

I think we'll have a new one soon, so you'll only need to fetch the latest milestone + map + interface. And boom, there u are, kicking french butt in 1419 again.

I know but is was still quite a lot of messing about. I did try it once but the blooming thing wouldnt work! I figured it was a corrupted patch and gave up!
Once the next milestone comes up I will try again. Should have the Gratis copy by then with a bit of luck

And the sweet classical music.

That old lady screaming in the 15th century is really annoying.

No problem, we're not under NDA anymore, so we can spill all we want.

There *are* some things we cannot release. That is one of them!
You see, some of the things intended to be in it might not work out properly during the testing and might have to be removed and redone for a future patch.
Once the patch is compiled, tested and sent to the publishers *then* we can tell
