So it's b). That's at least something. You aren't stupid per se just dull. Luckily, that can be worked on if you try. Here's another cookie.

Yin, Yin, Yin Yin....
What are we goin do wit u?
I've tried to hurl the peace pipe at you. You don't appear to be pickin it up. Maybe now??? We'll see.
I will admit, I have seen some helpful posts on your part recently. It may be a failing of mine that these are eclipsed by your destructive invectives.
However that may be, my main point from earlier remains. That being, if civ is bigger than Microprose, Activision, Firaxis, etc, it is because of the players like me and *cough* you.
Now if that is the case, that civ is more about me and you (and all the other players) than about any company, then why are you trying to tear it down?
Yes, Firaxis's current offer is less than adequate. I agree with you. Where we differ is what to do about it.
You want to vent your spleen on Firaxis. Others want to improve it. Sorry, but I'll follow those who want to improve it. I, like others, should ignore those who want to tear it down, but hey, avoiding conflict is not in me. Not sorry. I'm the idiot that stood up for the slow person in math class or the geek in the middle of gym class. That's me. There's a fight, a *good* fight, I'm there!
So the point remains. What do you intend to contribute now? Not what did you contribute then. Not 3 months ago. Not a year ago. Not 2 years ago. Now.
Now is when the game is afoot. Now is when we have the code to poke and prod and seek to make perfect. Now is when we (the players) need the intelligent contributions that you seem capable of making.
Be at ease. If you want to slag or denigrate individuals, I'll stand up. I'm the predictable one. If you want more confrontation, I'll be around.
Do you want to help? Please do, and never let an unkind word pass between us again.
Salve ?
But remember, a troll is...

notyoueither:
I'll keep posting as I wish. End of story. If you want to come in and preach, have fun. You're the guy butting his nose in on my general comments about Firaxis, etc. You are the one making it personal.
So in my book, you are just another Yin Groupie.

Ouch. Punny!
Naw, Lib. You're the guy with the fresh material these days. I'm off in the corner working on an old cigar and plain-wrapper whiskey saying: "Yeah ... kick some butt for me while I just sit down a bit. A few minutes, tops. Promise."

So how does this ignore list thing work?
Suppose I were to put Yin on it, would it mean I would never again be irritated by one of his posts?
BTW Yin, I did some counting and discovered that of all Apolyton forumers you're the one who uses the word "I" most!

I agree with Notyoueither's sentiment that the most virtuous course of action is to contribute with the aim of making improvements.
Failure and redemption are inescapable aspects of the human condition. I wish more people assisted efforts and others toward redemption rather than expecting them to stay mired in failure (and Yin, I'm not accusing you of that specifically, I'm just espousing my philosophy which nobody cares about anyway - it gives me something to do).
That being said, flames and trolls are the norm on the web, and I personally read over them without incorporating them. However, Yin's current signature espouses my view on him succinctly. He does make me laugh from time to time, and that's enough for me.
Oh, speaking of goober software - Yin, did you ever pay any attention to the whole Daikatana debacle? That was a helluva phenomenon from the ad where Romero was going to "make us his b**ch" to the release of a product that would have needed to sell over 2 million copies to turn a profit. Damn near wrecked the reputation of EIDOS, and I guess it did ruin Romero's, and I guess IONStorm's too. Is Romero flipping burgers now, or what? At least he can drive there in his hummer or ferrari...
Anyway, I believe...
I believe any sports team I route for regularly is doomed never to win a championship while I follow the sport.
I believe that you know you've gone to hell in the afterlife if you smell cat pee.
I believe in two-dollar words.
I believe that of all the wierd things humanity has attributed divine qulaities to, the sun remains the most logical, because without the gift of the sun, there would be no life.
I believe catfish is good eatin.
I believe I ought to get therapy for enjoying my prattling posts on these fora as much as I do.

I believe this thread should be read by more people!
thus...
I believe this thread is worthy to be bumped!
I also believe this forum is as addicting as playing Civ once was!
I also believe it's 3 am.
I believe I really should be asleep.
But I believe this is really the best use of my time right now.
So...
I believe sleep would really help me restore my perspective.
... and I believe I'm not the only one who should get off these forums and get some sleep.
Though, I believe lack of sleep makes things seem more funny. Such as repeating the phrase "I believe" a lot...
I believe I've run out of "witty" things to say.
