Turkish goods delivered to Greece, France and Cyprus!!
And some magistrates have been put to the difficult task of reducing the rampant corruption emptying the Sultan's coffers...
And the work on the Trans-Europe-Express goes on...
And the save:

I'm going out of town for a week, I'll be back next thursday. I've asked Cyrion to play my turn, but I don't know what his responce is. So sorry for any ensuing gridlock because of me!

British turn
From what I saw on the British turn, James was right: I must have forgotten to hit CTRL-N before saving, because my units were moving...
I definitely must have no brain
And as you notice, no gridlock: here is the British save!!!

La Reppublica
Italian Government Collapses!
Fed up with King Case's repressive Monarchy, the people of Italy have revolted and overthrown the government. Reports sugest that several prominant ministers have been lynched by the furious crowds.
King Safe
La Reppublica has confirmed that King Case fleed Rome just hours before the first riots broke out. It is believed that the King is still in control of the Italian military, and is now attempting to impose martial law across Italy.
Rummors sugest that the King is also considering forming a political party...

Second Army takes Salamanca
French troops marched into Salamanca today, encountering little resistance from the jubilant population. The only major cities remaining in the hands of General AI are now the northern strongholds of Bilbao and Ovideo; experts believe both will fall shortly before the inexorable French advance.

The Russian Empire is going to fix the pollution and rail systems for the betterment of Europe, but at this moment cannot meet expectations as we have just formed a new government and are still settling down.

Cyrion, are you going to play Kirk's turn, or are we waiting for him to get back from wherever it was that he went?

Yes, the pace is now more than satisfactory!!!
Let's just hope it stays so...
And about James: I think it's better to wait for him: he is coming tomorrow, so it won't be a big delay!!
And so in only 1 turn, I couldn't disrupt his production too much (hopefully!)...
So, to quote the "famous" (Sean, didn't say "infamous" ) Soundwave: James, your turn...

La Repubblica
Ex-King Case Sighted in Rome
La Repubblica has learned that Ex-King Case has reappeared in Rome. It is believed that the King has taken a military title and still controls the loyalty of the Italian Armed Forces.
Engineering Work Continues
Despite the current political upheaval work is continuing on various important capital works. The Adriatic Engineering Union reports that it's members have completed a road linking Tirana with Skopje with Trieste, and that they expect to complete a railroad linking the cities next month.
The Central Italian miners collective has reported that new mines are still being dug near Bologna.

Italian engineers returning to their homes
There only being one polluted area left in the Rhineland, French authorities have decided that the Italian engineer corps lent to the Third Republic in order to assist the cleanup can be safely returned to the troubled nation. The recently enlarged French civil engineer department will handle the remainder of the operation.

Fritz, how many engineers do you owe me? Was it one or two? (I'm about 75% sure that it was two...)

Case: You're right, I owe you 2. I just need to bring them back to the Italian border (one of them is still in the Alps )
Cyrion: I would very much like to do that deal we discussed. Now is a bad time though; the past few weeks have been full of the lead up to exams which I have next week. After that though the chances of doing it are good
