Why doesn't Germany just play, and then we can solve this problem as we go along?

I knew that, but online meetings are still a b*tch, at least for me. It just seemed more convenient to do it all now while you have the cheat powers at your disposal, but of course it's you guys' call.

Yaroslav will be finished real soon (Beta is ready) with the new version of his Civdip programm, which will allow to trade cities as well (but not units, though)! This can make things much easier because meeting online wouldn't be necessary then!

So are we continuing? El, are you going to take Germany or should we give it over to Choke?
*I want to pass the first AOW PBEM again *

Yes please, let's go on!! I haven't been through all the boring time trying to modernize Turkey (which was NOT easy! and isn't over yet... ) just to let the game fall asleep now!!

Is the problem that El wants his cities all now? I would probably be ok with giving Germany all her cities next turn - all I ask for is a turn's grace, as I'd need to re-home some of my units built in my German territories.

OK, but we don't give all the cities Germany right away.

Anyway he's actually been gone for a few days, so I don't know if he can play anyway.

So what's going on at this point? I feel we're kind of stuck for no reason. I think El should have been aware of everything that we said LONG ago, since none of it was new. But regardless, let's get on with it.
And perhaps we should try JMarks, since he came in second in our election for Chancellor.

OK, just realized this as I was editing the units for the alt version of AoW int he other PBEM: does everyone in this PBEM have a units and rules file which includes 2 submarines which Case added in? If not, it could pose some interesting side effects down the road...
Also, Choke said he can't play in a lot of PBEMs he is in. So maybe JMarks could take over as Kirk said? Please. i don't want this game to stagnate: we had such a good pace before

I thought we were using the rules with the increased ship range, but w/o submarines, since there was no consensus on that, as I understood.
I agree, I'd like to get this going again too, we had such a good rhythm a while back

Yeah, that's right. Whose turn is it BTW?

Yes, we've been waiting for a German player to take up the reins. Choke can't do it and El doesn't want to.

Well, I've been playing without a navy for half of the game as well...

Since I just shook off 8 Bonoparte games like rats off my neck (no offense guys ), I've got the time to take Germany. There's only one problem: when I got into the files here naturally I was curious as to how this game was going so I looked into everybody's countries. I doubt it'll make much of a difference in the survival of my 6 cities, but if anyone thinks it's unfair I'll understand.

Yes, well, if you start selling state secrets to other countries you can kiss even those paltry six cities goodbye
But seriously, I don't have a problem with you joining as Germany, as long as you keep whatever you saw to yourself.
