All Humans All Conflict, new MP game looking for people
I'm bored. So I'm proposing a new MP game. Tiny Map seven humans. Should make for a interesting game for many. Bad idea for players who like to sit on a corner and build. Also to get things away 3 effective play hours should be set for the first few days when turns will be moved around. After awhile (say 20 turns or so) things could cool off a bit (maybe we're down by a couple of players till then.
7 humans
tiny planet for early contact and conflict
no aliens
no pirates
random everything else

Count me in! I'm working shiftwork, so it'll rotate from week to week as far as my hours of avalability are concerned. I'll be the Guys in Green (a.k.a. the Gaians).

Sounds fun. I'd like Spartans or Believers in that sort of map, but I'm flexible. Specific times are tricky for me, but I can usually play 3-4 turns a day...ie I'm not usually the bottleneck. nickistca@yahoo.com

I hope I'm not blacklisted because of the RP3 debacle. I swere, I intended to play that one to the end.
And since the world is small, it shouldn't be too hard to play this one to the end!
Is it possible to make the map flat (non-wrapping)? That might make this into a somewhat realistic "battle for the continent" type of game.
Oh yeah, and, I'm interested. Email: tarvok.1@email.com
Until the 24th, I am always available before 3:00 PM PST. On the 24th, and probably for a week afterward, I am available:
Mon/Wed/Fri: 2:30 PM onward
Tue/Thu: 5:00 PM onward
All is in Pacific Standard Time
Oh, and I still want to play the Morgans or the Spartans in a seven player game. Haven't succeeded yet.

Hi there:
Read your notice, I think that would be fun. If you still got room, count me in. Any faction okay as its sometimes fun just to play the hand your dealt. E-mail is bferdy@cs.com.

Hey - i'd love to play, but i'm pretty sure you're talking about SMACX (?) - which i cant find anywhere, if not, and you're referring to SMAC:
therick50@hotmail.com
if you're short of players. (i'll take Morgan or whoever's left)

Heah K2/ everyone else,
if we can't find another volunteer within a short time, I suggest we go with 6 humans and one AI. As far as SMAC vs SMAX is concerned: I think everyone who has signed on so far can play a SMAC faction, so should be no problem there.
Also, interesting collection of names we all have for this game -sort of reminds me of a WWF Smacdown free for all, and so, in the immortal words of Judge Lane, I say "Lets get it on!"
See you all on Planet!

All Right!!! Thanx for signing on, JPJ!
7 Human Factions enter the Planet, only one leaves....
The Green Meanies (a.k.a. the Gaians) are chomping at the bit already!
I know that K2 is busy this weekend, so hold tight, strap yourselves in, we should be Planetbound shortly.....
Faction selections so far:
K2: not selected.
Darsnan: Gaians
arborman: Spartans or Believers
Ironwood: Spartans or Morgans
(if confilct for arborman vs Ironwood choice: first come, first serve?)
Radman: no selection
Apothos: Morgan (see above?)
JPJ: Yang
First post, first served as far as remaining available factions are concerned?

Heah, personally speaking, if it comes to it, I don't mind throwing names into the proverbial hat, and picking matching factions from there. It's a game, it looks like a good game, and I want to play in it! To echo Radman's comment "sometimes its fun just to play the hand your dealt".
Does this sound like a good faction choice resolution to everyone? Personally speaking, in this game, I'll play any faction, if necessary.

Once again, if I have my preference, I'll be either Morgans or Spartans, and it looks like Morgans are what I'll get, if it's first come, first serve. I enjoy both of them from a philosophical point of view (whether the emphasis is on property rights or the defense therof).

Hi all:
Sound like we got a "full boat". I guess we're ready except for final selection of the faction. Just assign the rest and "read um and weep" and let the games begin.

Hello everyone. In response to knowhow2's post, I will be happy to hold passwords for everyone if you like, so the game can continue if someone happens to vanish.

Just make up a bunch of easily remembered passwords and mail them out. That way we can transfer them easily, and it avoids the two weeks it would take us to get them all sorted out. Did I mention I want Spartans?

Hi all:
Sounds like Qantaga is going to hold passwords which is great! If we're going to have a good 3 hour session as originally proposed to get the game going, I'd suggest we do it probably tomorrow with work for most on Monday reducing the change of such a session! What do you say?

I'm in the UK - can be available from 7pm - 9pmGMT and/or from 10:30GMT onwards (off on monday so an all nighter is fine)
..and giving as minimum time difference is -5hours, i'm thinking those would be ok?
7-9pm = 2-4pm EST
10:30pm+ = 5:30pm+ EST
If not, i'll see if i can sort something else out....

You guys just let me know what you would like for me to do. It looks like one of you (knowhow2, perhaps?) will set up the game and you will set your own passwords as the first turn comes around. Then, you can all e-mail your passwords to me at:

Hi Knowhow2:
If your available, I guess its all up to you to get the game going as we got 6 hungry and available players ready to get going!!!! I would suggest that you assign the other factions, start play and recommend the 3 hour time frame you want to play to get a good start on this game. Otherwise, let us know what your intentions are?
