I know...don't worry .
We welcome all living creatures(even enslaved egyptians ) into our little empire.

(PS you're right about the postcount, if you get involved a little it tends to go as a rocket...and we haven't invented rocketry yet )

Civman200,
Yes I have played Civ.2 and I love the game and wish I had it. I do know that it is possible to make alliances with other civilizations and that is what I recomend doing as part of our foriegn and military relations. We should not be like the Romans: Emperialistic, power hungry, and a bloodthirsty people. ( I'm speaking about the real Romans not the Civ2 Romans) let's focus on technolgy and improving the health, annual income, literacy, and life expectancy of our people instead of conquering the other civilizations.

wich is best achieved by destroying the AI civs...
(and I'm sorry if this destroys your bubble but I have the impression the MGE AI will only forge alliances against us...the highest hope we can have is a peace-treaty...or we have to become the weakest civ of the game...then maybe)

you wish you had it? DOes that mean you've just played a few times? In any case, even if it might have been possible if we were nice to everyone from the beginning, it is absolutely impossible now unless we're willing to give our entire treasury away for 50 turns as well as any tech lead we have over everyone else.

Sorry BigCash - no can do. This IS a Democratically run game, after all. Maybe at the end of the game we'll try to make some of the saves available for all, but honestly I never thought this far ahead.

ok then in that case destroy all their cities but one, except the Egyptians and them just completely wast them, nobody cares about them anyway. I just know that when you destroy all the other civilizations the game is over and you want to keep the game going right?

Considering that the game is in deity-mode I hardly think that'll be a real problem. At the current that would still involve a long game with possibly huge causalites.
Besides, if the game ends we could start another. Considering the number of members here that wouldn't be a problem.

We seem to get a membership spike every time MarkG posts the monthly update. This time was especially good, since it posted just as elections were cranking up.

I have every turn of the sessions I have played saved, and should certainly hope that the past Presidents also do. It is an interesting idea to have them all collected at the end for anyone who wants to see how the game progressed!
And I welcome all the new Citizens of our (currently Communistic) government to the experience of the "Democracy game". The "Democracy" part is how we choose our leaders, not the government style we use at any given time.

I had them at one time, but have since cleaned out my civ directory twice. I still have the 4000bc start spot, tho.
