Aqueduct Bug & How to fix...
I noticed while playing that I could not build an aqueduct, even though I had researched masonry. For anyone who has this problem, it's easy to fix... first go to install directory/ ctp_program/default/gamedata folder. Now, open the file "Improve.txt". Find the portion mentioning aqueducts, and change the string;
"ENABLING_ADVANCE ADVANCE_ENGINERING" to
"ENABLING_ADVANCE ADVANCE_MASONRY".
Save and close the "Improve.txt" File, and open, in the same folder, "Buildings.txt". Find the aqueduct portion of that file, as you did previously, and change the string;
"Enable_Advance ADVANCE_CONCRETE" to
"Enable_Advance ADVANCE_MASONRY".
Save "Buildings.txt", and play CTP II WITH aqueducts! Good Luck!

Jrat you don't need to edit the improve.txt. It is a left over from CTP1, and the contend is ingnored by CTP2.
BTW I never had a problem with this bug, normally I just go through the tech tree and don't care so much when aqueducts become available. For me there are more important advance like all these new government advaces.

Thanks for telling me, but I have a question... Why did activision leave CTP I files in CTP II? Is the reason merely that they were to lazy to take them out?

Why did they put that alligator there in the first place??? I presume it wasn't a playing character in ctp I... and here's a question; How do you vew images in a .slc format?

Images in *.slic format?? Never heard of that. But if you mean how to view the CTP1/2 graphics resources: Then you need a tool that allows you to view the contant of the *.zfs files. Such a tool can be found on the page of Martin the Dane.

FYI, *.slc files (without the i) are text files in which code of the scripting language (sort of a programming language for the more powerful modwork) of CtP is saved. You can view them in any text editor (FE NotePad or MS Word). The particular file IW mentioned contains some interesting comments that can be quite entertaining to read for non-programmers (if you're not too easily offended )...
