Herc, please resend the turn to Pell, and make sure he's aware that he was supposed to obliterate his own base as per the rules regarding the dead player bug. I've uploaded a copy of the screenshots I took to here.

I hope the only reason he didn't play by the rules was because he wasn't aware what was required of him. Doing something like this on purpose would simply be bad sportsmanship.

I'll post this here as well, for all to see.
According to the rules, when I have 1 unit remaining in that base, and an enemy unit ajacent to it, I need to obliterate it. I currently have 3 units in that base, and no enemy unit in sight. Tell me then why this is bad sportsmanship?
If I am still required to obliterate with 3 units and no enemy, let me know and I will do so, and I will never play a game of this with you again.
Please reply through email as I typically do not read these threads.

Replied to.
I checked the zip file, and it seems that I neglected to include any pictures of the base after destroying the first defender for some reason. I reopened my copy of the turn, and took 2 pictures, showing that base being attacked with the Chopper, and forwarded them to John. Those pictures will of course be made available on request. adept4.gif showed what the battle would have been like between my Chopper and his final defender.
adept5.gif confirmed that it was your last defender. As a final note, his third unit was a probe team, which would of course have been destroyed when the second unit, his final defender, was destroyed.
EDIT: John's just informed me that he's replayed the turn, obliterating the base, and has passed it onto Hobbes.

A few housekeeping issues.
Firstly, I've called council. The proposal is a planetary shade. Both I and Santi have voted for. I suggest you all do likewise.
Second is why. Eco-damage has peaked, and the sea will rise 333 metres over 20 years.
Thirdly, what I suppose was a random event (Hell I hope there's not going to be a Meteor), a Volcano has erupted in the top center of the map. One thing for you to be glad about PK's, it's brought moisture for your western bases.
