strange combat theory
Hi,

I have found a strange theme to combats , and wanted to check if others had noticed the same.

I had a warrior on 4 hitpoints, against a warrior on 3.
I attacked , lost eventually. Terrain was plains as far as i remember.

Was curious, so reloaded, attacked again. LOst. Repeat etc etc.

NOw the pattern to the fight was absolutely identical each and every time, who list a hit point when, down to who won .
Exactly the same ..... I did this between 10 and 15 times and
the same thing repeated over and over again.

Now does this mean that combats are predecided ? Is there NO randomness in the engine at all ?

Dunno but I would expect SOME variety in results and progress during the fight.

Cheers.

The combat results are determined prior to the start of each turn. Prevents the 'save game - poor results' cheat .......

Yep thats right !

But the "seeding" can be evaded if you attack with another unit first and the with the unit that lost every time before. The outcome will be another then but not necessarily a better one
