Hydey sprints for the bar. A thwack is heard.
Hydey: "Aggggghhhhhh!"
Hydey clutches his hammy but makes it to the bar regardless.

What are these cryptic stats in our location field now?
Some sort of Australian immigrant classification?!?
BTW, I pulled both of my quads at the same moment...that really sucked...you know you're in trouble when you have to pee like a girl.

What on earth are you talking about?
Edit. Now I know what you're talking about. It's all explained elsewhere.

He's too busy with his snow bunny friends.
This cabin I went to at Granya is superbly located to access the Victorian high country. Skiing, fishing, camping, bush walking, its all there. A very beautiful part of the world.

Just a pity about the politics of the locals. I had a bit to do with some of the High Country-ites. Very depressing.

I'll be there Friday night - IF I can get the modem working.
Had dramas with it all week- the internal modem died last weekend and I bought a new USB Modem as work around. That didn't work either so I took the Comp to the repair shop thinking my system was bung.
It cost me $117 to find out that the brand new USB modem I had bought last weekend was faulty
I bought a new internal modem today. If I can get it going I'll be playing.

To make matters worse my IP provider screwed up my operating system trying to fix what they thought was a software problem - the modem was dialing out but not connecting. They got me to delete the comms off my comp which led to a lot of the "blue screens of death" and then they said you'll just have to reload windows over the top, which led to a lot more blue screens, but "that wasn't in their service parameters."
So I had to get that unscrambled too
If this new modem I've bought doesn't work I'm not going to be happy

LOL i think we had the same techie.....i got on the phone with some guy who told me that my settings were wrong...so he step by step asked me to delete files, well soon enough, i too had the screen of death, then he told me he wasn't sure what was wrong with my system....
needless to say...i sat there cursing into the phone.....i wanted to call back and smack that dude up the side of his head.....
or slap him in the groin...either way it took two weeks before i finally got things figured out....
the most unfortunate thing is this has happened more than once to me

How unlucky though to have your modem go down and then buy a defective one straight out of the box, LOL.

So much for modem quality control. I bought one of those little plug-in card modem things for my last laptop. It didn't work. Buggered when it came out of the box.

Well what do you expect buying stuff from a guy out the back of the pub. i always buy from a reputable dealer who guarantees he will steal another , I mean replace anything faulty at no charge.

We send all of our faulty equipment to Australia. It's the least we can do. That's why they're trying to get me to emigrate, BTW.

When i had a laptop i found those where a ***** to install and keep running.. You had to do exactly the right steps or it just wouldn't work. Not only that if you had the laptop on for 3 hours or so, if you pulled out the card you could cook something on it.
