I'll bet he was working on his double-handed backhand.

I am sorry, but I could not believe that all should show
So late as only 30 mins before the game were was 3 players that not had confirmed that Saturday was OK for them to play on. My experience from such situations are that the propability that at least one of them not will show is very high.
I made a last try to get responses by my post "Please confirm guys" in Saturday morning my time... But so late as 30 mins before the start time 9.30 PM Aussie time had no more than Deity confirmed (:
I asked Deity to take contact with the players that not had responded but he refused it!
I understand all players that want the freedom it means to not promise anything by confirming. You may have family as Hydey, bad internet connection as Deity or play too much Civ as winzity LOL! All reasons are good... But the semantics of it is that happened can happen...
But on Sunday(tomorrow) I will be here! Those that not will have to post their explanations here,,,
I started the game with arii and markusf because it looked so unsure if it should be any play in this game during Saturday. We played MUCH longer than I could imagine we should do. I was so tired so I had don't want to sitt in the front of the computer and just wait for the miracle that all should show, and if they would we propably had to wait long before we could start...and I should had fall in sleep in front of my computer when.
Now I am awake and wants to play MORE Civ...

How would you suggest he do that when we are all offline?
If he could do it , why couldn't you?
I will not be playing Sunday night, played saturday night and sunday morning so I am resting my civ playing and watching *the empire strikes back* on TV tonight.

Good idea Alexander!
So now propably same happens again.
But good you told us Hydey
I asked Deity to call Aussie players he had phone numbers to. I thought the Auusie group had some contacts over phone too, because it's a domestic group. Otherwise you are right Hydey, not more to do than try to get contact with them online.

All you had to do was show up at the appointed time and see who is around - like the rest of us did. We are not going to check in with your social secretary or send you gilt edged invitations

I don't ask for that!
I only ask for post the words "I will show". I had other stuff to do than just sitting and see if players will show.
You had luck now Alexander Horse that it was me, so you can blame me. I don't think you will show every time I am wating for that you will show, and I will NOT blame you.

Alexander Horse vs winzity
Of course we can play duels. I have no time at the moment(same response to all).
I priority game with more than 2 players!
Therefore we cancelled the duel and played a game with more players instead.

We didn't cancel the duel. You said Deity could play too without even asking him and then you just went silent. Another evening wasted

This win guy's syntax is making my head hurt!
Hey, Fin...when will you be over to the states hobnobbing with the Hollywood royalty...I'd have figured all that hard work would pay off somehow?

Well, quite. What's more, why swap being a big-ish fish in a small pond here for being a single cell in an ocean over there? There are maybe 40 bona fide full-time, professional writers in this country. Over there, there are 4000. And, as with actors, only a small proportion actually prosper.

Don't tell me you're getting complacent in your golden years? There's still time to kick the entertainment world's ass and be King of the World for a week or two!
Actually...that small pond stuff sounds pretty good...any market for a sitcom about American car salesmen over there?

In my golden years? I was complacent in the womb.

Yeah...I've got about 8 grand saved up...how far will that get me?
Just point me in the direction of all the poor white trash with heavy drinking problems.
I'm assuming that would be in Horse or Hydey's neighborhood, right?

Eight grand? Send it to me immediately, I'll start looking around for a property for you. And, yes, it would be in Hydey's neighbourhood. Horse lives in the rarefied air of Canberra.
