The scoring ends 2050. It's a game rule and can't be changed. But you have the choice to continue playing without adding to your score. I know of no other time limit.

You can change it if you grab Grampho's latest version of Civ3CopyTool. He's added an option in the save game editor that allows you to set both the beginning and ending times. It will only work on save games though.

It's not cheating, it's customizing. I did the same thing to Civ II Test of Time. I didn't like the endgame very much so I just altered it until I did. Same thing with this version. There's some things about it that I don't like so I'll make changes until I do. And I'm liking the way it's playing much better now. Why would they include an editor if using it was viewed as cheating?
