I had no idea we have people here aged from 14 to 58. I think it's pretty impressive. Few game communities can do the same.

Just to bring a semblance of normality to proceedings, I'm 26 in a week. Pretty impressive though, I must admit

LOL, no, just saying that it's generally quite impressive that there's such a wide range of ages here - it can only be a good thing!
Oh - and vendetta happened a long, long time ago... ::fades::

Misotu, I'm *so* happy to see you are still with us. I've found Jam in FW2 and we are still alive (2191). Are you allowed to check out a save?

Good to see you round here occasionally, Mis - even if this is probably the wrong thread to be saying this

Now listen up young Mark, I'm still Big C's team mate until replaced
Am trying not to volunteer for an MP game - working on my scenario but it's just not the same ... Also scanning CGN challenge thread. Guess that old SMAC obsession just won't die, eh?

Yeah, absolutely - Civ3's a pretty poor effort after all that, so it looks like SMAC all the way. Hope the CGN challenge sufficiently satisfies your craving, anyway (though the vet league could do with a player or two... )

Played half a game of Civ 3 and just ... lost interest The vet league? Sounds faintly farmyard Now you wouldn't be trying to tempt me back into MP would you?? Just when I was getting over the SMAC DTs too ... tsk tsk.
No ... no ... must ... keep ... sacred ... vow ... to ... quit ... .... ...
heh. Insomnia strikes so off to play the scenario ...

Misotu you're back! We missed you so!!
Quitting smoking and SMAC all in the same year!! That's just too much for anyone to handle all at once. Don't be so hard on yourself (he says as he lights up )

I just started smoking and (really) playing SMAC
Thirty SMAC players have disclosed their age and the average is 30.4333...

Hey, Mis - welcome back
It just hasn't been the same without you (I've been reduced to unleashing my evil side in setting up challenging PBEMs and SP scenarios)
For a real toughie, try:

Nice to be back, even if only as a shadow of the former obsessed addict
Still not smoking, but then that's an easier addiction to beat. Heh.
Hey, this scenario looks really good Googlie, thanks for the link. Right. CGN first, then this one

I'm 45 and I should really include my son with this, since my multiplayer skills are honed at home. He is 13 and started playing SMAC at age 11. So add a 45 and a 13.

30.0303... after thirty-three
And, Rynn, that's not much of a help to our quest in determining the average age of SMAC players

Well, let's see ..............
I was born on July 10th, 1999, right here on these forums, so that makes me .... (old enough to know better? ... young enough not to care?)

Hi everyone! I'm new to the boards (been lurking around for a bit). I'm 18... so that makes the average about 29.6285 ?

Good thing you (all of you) didn't do this in the Community or Off-Topic areas or someone would have performed the DL Dance for you.

Naw - I got special dispensation from Markos - they were (are) all pseudonyms for Spartan Chronicles characters and the different DL's indicated which character was "writing" at that time.

38 and not getting any younger.
Grats on staying off the cigs Mis and in case you come down with a case of incurable MP withdrawals we'll set up a vets special in no time.
Besides that I feel exactly like you on civ3, though I tried a lot harder to like it I just have a hard time with it.
