contacting other civs
Does anyone know how to contact a civ without having to click on one of their units. When I trade something for contact with another civ, I usually have to wait for them to contact me first! Can you do it in the foreign adviors screen?

Yes - look at the info box at the bottom right of the screen. After you have made contact with a civ a 'D' button should appear - click on it and you'll get a pop up asking which civ you want to contact.
Took me ages to notice it!

What about to ask your foreign advisor by simply pressing F4 or using the "Advisors" button? To make contact, double-click the civ's leader there.
If you are playing with more than 8 civs, you may have to replace one leader by the one you want to contact by Shift-rightclicking.
