Enables Recycling?

The tech Recycling has got the flag "Enables recycling". What does it do?

I belive it reduces pollution. There are many triggers that change the rate of pollution.

Its probably the flag for the recycling center, that prevents pollution from buildings from occuring (like pollution from factories, mfg plants, airports, etc)

I thought it reduced pollution that was caused by high populations, i.e., a civilization-wide thing, rather than one tied to specific polluting improvements around a given city. At least that would be logical, but logic doesn't always rule.

isn't there also a flag that enables nukes? if so, i think the flag is there so that you can use different techs as requirements (or enablers) for recycling (or nukes as the case may be). you could say that the recycling center requires recycyling to be built, but also requires computers to enable it.

Mass transit is the building that removes pollution from population, so im assuming the flag for that building would be named similar.

Mizaq: anything that makes pollution last longer is a bad thing IMHO

Pollution just isnt fun.
Id prefer to make the barracks or temple or some early building reduce both types of pollution and be done with it

I cut of all the pollution from my cities anf still appear 1 polution sign in every city beyond 12?
