AH,
I notice that it's you OT guys posting with such impatience...hmmmmm.
We'd all love to have Civ3 yesterday, but if we're lucky in the least, Firaxis is taking so long because they are truly doing so great things with the game. If the rumors are true, we can expect a Civ3 and NOT a Civ2.5! If you ask me, that's worth the wait.

I hear you Yin
But I'm as impatient as hell now that CTP II has come out. People are defecting to it.

Yep. I bought CTP II. But I buy it as a place holder. A game to entertain me until that glorious day when Civ III comes out. I doubt few people will "defect" because CTP II still left a lot to be desired in economics. Besides, I think we're ALL willing to spend that extra 50 bucks!

I don't think you've got anything to worry about. They might defect, but when we start egtting info on Civ 3, everyone will rush back like a tidal wave. The more in the genre, the better, I say. Helps raise the bar.

Patience is a virtue.
Wait a minute... I post at OT!

No, in Australia we don't live with kangaroos and koalas in our backyards... Despite any stupid advertisments you may see to the contrary... (And no, koalas don't usually speak!)

I bought CTP1 when it was unfinished. Come to think of it CTP1 never was finished. I think they should take their time and produce a good working game.
