A question about the pop up windows in Civ3

Is there any way to disable the pop up windows in CIV3? For example there is a window that pops up every 10 turns or so telling me to change production in my cities from whatever they are building to aquaduct or hospitals. For me, I try to make a big empire with a lot of cities. Also, I try to keep all those cities small. So these pop up windows, trying to get me to change production are really annoying. Any help?
