I'll post this, since it seems like what I feel like doing right now, and will help us remember where we fall in the turn order:
Confederates - TheANZAC
Border States - AI
French/Spanish - Case
Mexicans - Darius871
United States - JamesJKirk
English - Soundwave
Indians - Cyrion

Confederacy Joins Spanish and French
After heavy deliberations, Jeff Davis has decided it is best to be annexed by the Spanish and French, who will allow slavery and custom constitutional rights to the Confederacy. We ourselves have laid down our arms and will not fight the Union anymore.
Also on moral grounds President Davis has resigned and is currently residing in Cuba.

Ooooooh, I'm feeling some emotion right now! Nevertheless, the US will abide by their treaties with France and Spain, and look forward to a warm relationship with them

Ok, I managed to get subs on all my games except this one, so you guys are going to have to find one after I leave, sorry. I'm announcing officially on all my threads that I am gone (going out the door right after this). I won't be able to play turns or anything, but I'm sure here and there I can get a few minutes of access to keep in touch and give subs any help I can. Bye all!

Havana Herald
French-Spanish Protectorate Establised
The French and Spanish Governments have agreed to accept President Jefferson Davis's request that the France and Spain occupy the confederacy in order to protect the Southern way of life from the 'Yankees'. The United States Government is informed that this is not a hostile action against it, but merely a means of preventing needless bloodshed.

Excellent, although I've been speaking so much French that it's worked itself into my interior monologue.
I toured Greece, Italy, France, and Britain in that order, although to my chagrin France and Britain's tours were limited to only Paris and London, with the exception of what we saw through train windows. Some would say that Paris is all there is to see in France, but not I.
It also seemed unfulfilling without eastern and central Europe, but perhaps I'll return. Three weeks was long enough.

C'est vrai, mais negocie en Anglais sil vous plait. J'ai mal a la tete.
Yes it was Mescaleros. Sorry, but my Bandits have nothing to do but run down innocent women and children. Respond however you wish.

PS My French is a little rusty, but my Latin is crisp!

Actually I took/taking both French and Latin. I always had bad experiences with my French teachers, but with Latin I picked it up pretty quickly and liked it. However in High School I can't take a second foreign language until junior year So that's what I'm going to be doing. I do read original texts you could say I'm intermediate in Latin as I have been taking it for 3 years.
Also I forgot I'm not in this PBEM

@ ANZAC
I didn't even notice you're not in the pbem!! Actually it must be the only one where I play and you don't!!
And for me, it's the latin that is so rusty it would just disintegrate should I pick at it again... 15 years without touching it, it might be a bit too much... The french is nearly perfect, though...
And Darius, yes, don't worry, I'll find an appropriate response to your banditry...
Hang 'em High !!

The US accept peace with their new French and Spanish neighbors and look forward to a happy relationship.
We wonder if it would be possible to possibly purchase some of the land left to you by the now extinct rebellion?
Also, if you would kindly move you infantry away from the vicinity of Charlotte it would be appreciated, the fort just south of that city was abandoned as a goodwill gesture.

Just so you guys know, Soundwave has disappeared in the History PBEM, so he probably won't be here to do the British turns either.

Days off
As mentioned on other threads, I'll be away from the 28th of August to the 8th of September, and not able to access a computer! And YES, before you ask, I do deserve my days off !!
So I'll need a sub for the various pbem I'm in for this (short)time! As I would prefer someone I know from other games, here you'll find the list of the pbems I'm in; so if you would be willing to sub for me in one of the game where you aren't already involved, please let me know!!
Anyway, at the rate some of the game are moving, you might even not need to play a turn...
The games are:
Hellas (Corinth)
History (Italy)
Another Age of War (Turkey)
Mongols (Khwarizm)
American Empire (Indians)
Thanks!!

Hmmm, I'm free for Corinth (I'm in it but I think I can be objective since we're cooperating there, Turkey, and Italy. I'm not sure whether the Sung and Khwarizm have a conflict of interest, but if not I could take Mongols too, and of course I can't play here as we're at war. There's been such a slump in postings lately that I've got time for these three or four.
If you agree, send me any plans you have for them.

Thanks Darius, so I'll send you a PM with my plans (and passwords) for History, AOW, Hellas and Mongols!!
So there's only American Empire left, and a turn as the Indians takes... about 2 minutes!!
That is, IF the turn comes up before I'm back...
