So, this has been waiting for long enough: either it goes on soon or I leave!!
Come on, it's ridiculous: no turn has been played in 3 weeks without any notice from Soundwave!!
So, this is what I propose: I mail to Soundwave and if we have no news from him next Monday we find a sub!!
Your opinion??

I don't have the time invested in this that a lot of you do, but if Soundwave doesn't return soon, I'm gonna drop out, too. A couple of new PBEM threads are up. Maybe we could start one with just RELIABLE players. I would LOVE to get a PBEM game going for Ascendance of Europe, my all-time favorite scen-. It is on my Web site. I have a renovated version with Nemo-esqe graphics and a few tweaks that I have not yet posted. Anybody interested? Case, ANZAC, Cyrion - you guys and others (you know who you are) keep up on your turns, consider this and I will post the files and a thread. Portugal and Holland sometimes get stomped pretty quickly, we could leave those CIVs to the AI if nobody wanted them. Or the land-based civs: Russia and China, are pretty well played by the AI, so that is another option if we don't get seven players. Think about it, gentlemen (and ladies, if their are any lurking, which judging from my wife lack of intrest in Civ II, I doubt.)

Soundwave is NOT coming back it seems. Could we maybe get a player for Chalcis? If not I'll play it in the mean time. I hope we don't have to end this

As some of you know, about half a dozen civfan games died for various reasons so I have the time to join a few new ones, with a marked preference for Apolyton. I can take the Chalcis here if that's ok. I've heard about this game a bunch of times and it'd be cool to be in it.

Welcome Darius!!
I keep on seeing familiar faces in the various pbem...
In case the save is password protected: the player was Soundwave, so maybe you remember the one I gave you for the other game??
Anyway I'll send you a PM with it and the agreement we had with Chalcis (it's of course up to you to keep it or not!).

Blast! As I am posting everywhere, I'm going to be gone until at least the 20th, possibly even longer. It's a very long story. As it includes my not having access to the internet except for this 10-minute library sliver, I don't have time to arrange subs this time. Sorry, but I'll try to make the wait as short as possible.

Days off...
As mentioned on other threads, I'll be away from the 28th of August to the 8th of September, and not able to access a computer! And YES, before you ask, I do deserve my days off !!
So I'll need a sub for the various pbem I'm in for this (short)time! As I would prefer someone I know from other games, here you'll find the list of the pbems I'm in; so if you would be willing to sub for me in one of the game where you aren't already involved, please let me know!!
Anyway, at the rate some of the game are moving, you might even not need to play a turn...
The games are:
Hellas (Corinth)
History (Italy)
Another Age of War (Turkey)
Mongols (Khwarizm)
American Empire (Indians)
Thanks!!

It's Jacobite's turn, and furthermore he's disappeared since the 9th.

Gentlemen,
I'll make a post for a sub, to make a long story short:
As some of you may know, I am concluding a move of my household across the state of Illinois to Chicago. About three weeks ago, something went wrong in the whole damn thing and we have been/are now stuck with out so much as a telephone.
I apologize sincerely for not being able to alert you all sooner
As one of the chief complainers about the progress of this thread I am truely embarrased about the situation. I am sad to say it may be another week or two before I have anything aproaching an internet connection again. On the plus side, when I get it, it will be DSL
Again, I am SOOOO sorry I was not able to alert you all to this situation earlier. Jacowife and I were completely caught off gaurd ourselves. I'll tell the whole story to anybody who cares to hear it when I am back on the boards. Right now, my PC is in boxs in an eight flat three hours from where I am typing this.
My real concern is that I will now wear the badge of shame the reads "NO PLAY, NO NOTICE IN PBEM"
I hope to play with you all again ASAP - If not in this threads, perhaps somewhere else. Until then,
Keep the Faith

As posted on the history thread:
Dont worry man, such badges only come when you really did disappear, like has happened to many players, but you genuinely did get screwed, which we can understand (I know I can, it happened to me just three weeks ago ).
I'll be glad to see you again though; there'll always be a game or two looking for someone. And perhaps even here if a sub will be willing to be temporary. Happy trails!

OK I would be able to do this, except somehow I can't seem to get it setup to remove the password. I guess we'll call Henrik
