Town > 60 ?
Hello
I'm playing at CTP2 since every months, but i never had a Town > 60. When the town reach this number, the growth rate is 0. So the town can't go more than 60.
I think it's a bug because a town with 60 have 600 000 habitants. And in the Score, there's points for town with 1 000 000 and even 5 000 000 people !
How can i have a town with 5 000 000 people ?
Thanks for your help.
FMP
PS: excuse me for my english. I try to write good but it's difficult.

These large numbers in the scoring are a bug. By default the maximum size for your cities is 8 or something in the original game. With city improvements such as Aquaduct and Arcologies you can raise this limit to 60 in total but not higher. So cities of size 60+ are ordinarily impossible (but I think there might be some trick of getting them by making the city celebrate or something, this too is probably a bug).

well another bug is that the hospital building doesnt add to max city size, this means that if you correct* this bug you will get a new max city size between 60 and 74.
* it is not known how much the hospital should increase city size but most of the other buildings of that kind has a value of 14.
I feel that that is a bit too much for the game balance so i usually set it to 7-10.

I think the official limit in the Apolyton Pack is 74 (haven't played in a while though) but the same bugs as in other mods and the original apply here of course...

You can also do a search to find some threads that contain the information about how to raise the city pop limit. But actual it is a very good idea for such a limit, because that prevents you from terraforming every tile around the city to grassland and of building everywhere hydroponic farms. And huge cities have a high pollution, because of the huge population.

Hypothetically speaking... If you used slic then you could raise the limit to any number you wanted to.

Practically speaking... it is possibly to use slic to increase the population, but it can also be done by modding, check out this thread.
So I found some time to search for it on my own, although I should work on this Chemistry stuff here. I am shure that I explained it somewhere else, too.
