Make your own units!
Maybe when you deleop tanks, for instance, instead of only being given 1 tank, or 3 to choose from, you can design your own.

wouldn't be a free do-what-you-want type of design, just choose pre-built chassies, add some weapons, and such, and it computes the shields needed to build it.
It would also allow you to make tanks for tank-tank combat, cit destroying combt ETC, same thing for planes and such

just throwing this out there, doubt it would get used, because of all the extra programming it would require, along with art, etc

I use lots of unit editors and such, but it would be better to have it built into the game, for multiplayer use ETC....

it always feels like cheating when I make my own units, don't know why.... even when I'm making a scenario...

Personally love the SMAC units workshop, but we don't need ANOTHER thread about whether or not there's a workshop. Just going to have to wait and see...
