Good Job as Foreign Minister???
If you have a herd of cattle and one stops getting bigger, you kill it. You do not simply expect it to stay around and graze without helping you. This is what our last Foreign Minister has done. Has failed to improve foreign relations or simply establish foreign relations with any of the infidels..I mean other nations. These contacts will yield tech trading that will benefit our country greatly. I urge each and every one of you as the thinking citizens you are to bring new blood into the High Council.
Support me for Foreign Minister.

Now that polls have closed, I've played some more turns. At about 1000bc, we have found 7 islands, but no other civs! Our current ministers have been anything but busy...
I support the following candidates because they have not had much of anything to do yet:
adamsj
El Awrence
kasseopeia
Our other ministers have had work to do. This high council has done a good job thus far - judging from how infrequently the public will has gone against my own presidential judgement!

You are very true, we cannot excange knowledge with the void, but the Foreign Minister must pursuade the entire government and nation that we need to expand and make contact with other civs out there.

Believe me when I say we expanded as fast as possible(it might have been possible to go a little faster but the citizens don't allow the invention of horsebackriding...(and I'm afraid if they get the chance they'll cripple us by asking for a Republic gov)

True, monarchy should be our choice. The benefits of Republic would never exceed the strain it would bring on us (unhappiness etc.).
