Hi Contact,
below is the process for playing a PBEM Turn. This info was given to me by arborman when I first started playing. Welcome aboard Apolyton, and good luck!
Here's the sequence when you receive your zipped turn in E-Mail:
>
> > a)unzip the file, save in your "Saves" folder, and play your turn
> > b)Press "Turn Complete",save and exit
> > c)open winzip
> > d)create new file, name it with next person's name in title. Example:
> apsk2-Darsnan-21xx (21xx implying mission year).
> > e)Once saved, you will find the zipped file either in the general Alpha
> Centauri folder or the "saves" folder.
> > f)Winzip will zip it and save it to "My Documents" (if
> > you're running windows), although my zip program saves it in the same
> folder that the original file was in.
> > g)Attach it to an email and send to next person in game.
Hope this helps!

How to start a PBEM
Sorry, but your explanation is confusing a little.
I made a page with complete detailed explanation and screenshots at

OK about the "little confusing": whats the problem? I'm always looking for feedback so that I can improve this info for the next time its needed. Also, I went to your website and tried to open "How to start a PBEM", but nothing happened. FYI.

Try it again. The URL is correct (I just tested it again by click on the URL above) and loads very fast from here.

OK, got it. Pictures are worth a thousand words, therefore you are thousands of words ahead of my approach. If there were a smiley bowing low in awe, I'd post it here after the previous sentence!
This is a good thing to post at this website, as well:

This is another SMAC/ SMAX forum, and this is the self help forum. I'm sure your info will be extremely helpful, and greatly appreciated by future gamers!
