Joining the game...
Howdy all,

Recently me and a friend have been playing MP CTP II games in the California server, and I've noticed a number of people trying to join the game and being quickly booted out.

I'm not sure why this is (not my doing), but it may have something to do with both our games being modded with CRADLE and the 1.3 version. We usually play on the 1.3 BETA option in Modswapper, so if those trying to join haven't taken the same options then I suppose that could pose a problem...

(I've always had ON Dynamic Joining, etc...)

Hopefully some of you guys will be able to join in the near future - the more the merrier!!!

Oh, and MP CRADLE kicks @rse!!!!!

Cheers,
Shadow

Hey Boney,

Have you tried replacing the servers.dat file in CTP II?
I had server trouble until I changed it, now I've got 7 to choose from with no trouble at all.

Let me know if you want the file and I'll get it up here.

(It was originally put up here by someone else on the board, can't recall who though - so cheers to them for putting it up in the first place...)

Kep with kicks @rse, and try making sure you have the "dynamic join" option checked.

When you play MP with mods then every player must be using the same mod as the host or they will get booted by the computer. If I'm playing a MP game with mods then I usually post which mod we're using in the name. This prevents any miss understandings.

Then the next trick is figuring out if you *really* have the same mod, and didn't screw something up along the way.
