Government Stability
Kind of a simple thread, but I'm sure we can get some good discussion going on the topic.

If you have a very unstable government, and you want to change it, is it possible that the government you chose will NOT be the government you end up with? Or should people spontaneously revolt when certain needs are not being met (not just Democracy ala Civ/CivII)

For example, pre-wwii Germany transformed from a republic to a tyranny in a matter of years because of unstable government. Should unstable governments in Civ spontaneously revolt (as in x% chance of revolt). Should "x" change based on what government you are in before the revolt? In essence, this can work either way. Unstable governments can revolt "down" the scale (Democracy - Tyranny) if they are being exploited, or "up" the scale (Tyranny - Democracy) if they are being held back.

Or am I crazy and this should be totally and completely left up to the player? Cast your vote!!

Interesting topic, but ...

Since none of the current games takes into effect the populational thigs etc. what we see in a game (MP definetly) is that somebody of your neighbours desides to expand while you revolt. France, England, (Italy), Austria, Poland Russia, pick your choice.

So first there are other thing s to solve, before we get to the real issue. Othervice we just make it much, much harder for the weak to survive at all.
