AI battle plans:

Anywhere from
inept,

anxiety producing but a paper tiger,

to "oh, oh, I have done a seaborne invasion of his country (with rails) and though Xerxes has Immortals, Knights and Cavalry against my Tanks, Infantry and Artillery, he's got such local superiority that it feels like the Marines at Inchon Reservoir" (N. Korea when the Chinese appeared).
