2134 to Archaic.
Looked at my tech tree, to my horror Doc:Initiative isn't in the beeline. So, I switched techs to biogenetics, and requested the same from Archaic in the hopes of getting a useful tech to research. My apologies for the screwup.

I was wondering why you chose D:I. Thought you figured you needed cruisers.

2135 to Archaic. Thank you for Biogenetics.
I have requested InfoNets from Archaic to avoid duplication (as that is what I'm researching...), hopefully I can get something good this time.
HEChem delivered to Qantaga.

2135 to Mongoose
InfoNets sent.
The Planet Cult seems to be building up quite a substantial force. With our current tech. level, we would not be able to take any of his bases without substantial losses. I suggest Mongoose that you start leaving a garrison in your bases.

Well, you know what they say about the best-laid plans. The game did not cooperate this time around. When I got HEChem from NS (thanks for that), I was offered D:Init, ProgPsych, SotHB and D:Loy, none of which are on the D:AP beeline. So, I chose SotHB and sent a note to Archaic asking for it. Hopefully, I'll be back on the path to planes next turn.
2136 to NS.

The Believers complete the Merchant Exchange in 11 turns. Who of us wants it enough to rush through building it, or do we ignore it and go after other projects?

2136 sent to Q.
I don't want it enough to plan to rush it at this point. Nice to have, but I have other fish to fry at the moment. Feel free, any of you.
'Course, if nobody speeks up and the opportunity presents...
How soon might we think about Intellectual Integrity, do you
think?
I could use some unit training. Very Green scout patrols...Yuck and Double Yuck!

When I get Eco. Eng and pass it onto you so you can take Envio. Ecc., I'll go to Intellectual Integrity. That would be the most efficient way, wouldn't it?

Yes, if I get the option for EE and if there isn't something else we need more than II.

2137 to archaic
NS sent me this turn and it appears to be the most recent
On tech, I was not getting any good options so I opted for poly soft on the theory that the arty ability never hurts. the beelining does not seem to be cooperating too well
I am also planning some probeships to get a better sense of where our usurper friends are and try to get some infiltration on them as well

Its the most recent turn I have (sent to me by Northswordsman) and looking at the posts on this board, the last pass that is explicitly mentioned is "2136 to qantaga"-- I guess if you have already played 2137, you should just ignore my send, as 2138 should be be with either mongoose or qantaga. If 2138 is supposed to be with me, I will need a resend as it has yet to appear

2137 sent to Q.
Sorry for the delay. I gave up looking for turns late yesterday afternoon. Thought everybody must be doing the holiday family thing. Plus, never saw that Q had passed '37 to NS.
edit: PS. My F2 for you, Flubber, shows Brain, not Polysoft as your research goal.

yup
Thats because I unknowingly played a turn that NS had already played and sent ( and had been sent on already by archaic)-- so his choice of SOTHB is what my faction is researching-- In retrospect, its a better choice as others have SOTHB and can gift it to me so I can HOPEFULLY get a decent tech choice

Mongoose, sorry for not posting the passing of the last turn. We had lots of company for Easter, so my online time was rather limited.
2138 to Flubber.
I sent SotHB to Flubber and requested Gene Splicing from Mongoose. With GS, I will have all the prereqs for SynthFossFuels. Hopefully, the game will cooperate and offer it.

I again got lousy choices and since I am worried about the AI showing up, I went for nonlinear maths, on the theory that we will have some military tech ready if the AI shows up

2138 to Mongoose
We all should start protyping ASAP given the AI's consistant buildup of military forces. Nothing we have could hope to defend against them at this point if we suddenly ran into them. The Believers especially are a problem. They're starting to match us in empire size and population, and I wouldn't doubt that Fungboy will trade her Non-Linear Math when he completes the research of it.

2138 sent to Q.
I no longer have borders. Have one of you changed some preference I cannot find to change back? It is quite inconvenient when exploring with non 'none' units not to know when you will be leaving friendly territory. (free market, dontcha know)

Mongoose, I can see my borders. Perhaps you have recently increased your territory so that your borders are in the sea or out beyond your visual range. Otherwise, I am not sure why you can't see them.
The game continues to be uncooperative. I had to choose EcoEng this time. I sent a commlink asking Archaic to send it along when he discovers it this turn. Surely, SFF will open up then. I shudder to think what my next tech rate will be.
2139 to Flubber.

2139 to archaic
I would like to get both gene splicing and eco eng as soon as possible.
As for the borders, I could not see my borders when I opened the turn but I then turned "Fog of War" ON and the borders appeared. Its one of the quirks of the game that settings will be that of the previous player in a MP game. I left fog of war on for now

Flubber, that is strange. I could see my borders and I did not touch the preferences screen, so I am curious why you would have to make a change in the preferences to see them. Not that this is any big deal of course, it just has piqued my interest.

No, I haven't increased my territory lately. (6th base gets placed this turn unless a worm got the CP since I played last) Two turns ago, my borders were quite visible...to the west of Boston, to the west and to the south of Memphis. In particular, the southern border fell roughly along the Rio Grande where I have a supported scout patrolling for sign of Mim. (Foolishly, I mistook Baja for Mexico and sent my independent scout way out of its way...should have had the two reversed. BTW, Baja is very large on this map. )
PS. has anybody seen any native life? I have not. Not one worm or SL. Nor, thankfully, have my empty coastal bases been attacked by lurks.
