Civ2 in the Olympics?
When I heard about the "intellectual games" is going to become part of the Olympics, I was thinking, what about Civ? Could Civ be part of the Olympics? Place your comments, questions and out of thread posts below.

Damn fine idea. Imagine the massive number of drug cheats they'd expose.
Edit: for clarification, of course I refer only to caffeine and nicotine ...

Amen! I had just ICQ'd Finbar a offhanded comment to this effect. But will the team include an Aussie?
Most likely so I reckon

hmmm, nice, a sort of computer olympics
CIV has to be there!!! (CIV II of course)
what else? DEFINITELY decathlon (the good old C64 version) actually played on a good old C64 with vintage joysticks. (part of the chalenge will be NOT to wreck your joystick)
I can imagine it now, the Belgian delegation enters the stadium, 3 or 4 people who actually look like athletes and 50 or so skinny runts or fat slobs, the flag being carried by an 11 year old boy answering to the name Emperor Whacky the Despot

Carrying a flag? Nah, it'd be computer generated.

Who knows what the future might hold.
The idea is not stupid.
Some sports are easier on your health than civII, and it definitely requires some skills and quite some training !
And it could help us !!!

Civ2 should go to the Olympics !
I've just heard that there was a chess exhibition during the Games, at the Olympic Village.
Shirov and Anand, two of the world best players were there.
I am quite sure Civ2 is next.
Who will be chosen to represent the" Civ sport" in Athens 2004 ?

No worries, SG1, I'd blow the lid off the Orange Pekoe Tea testing unit. I mainline the stuff.
