Checking out the new graphics. I noticed a white 'swirl' on some of the desert tiles. Don't know if it was intentional or not.

Actually, I'm not sure if the swirl is on the desert tile or the plains next to it. Every instance I have found of it, it is where the NE part of a plains tile meets the SW part of a desert tile.

There's something wrong with that zip file, I can't extract it. I sure wish they'd solve the problems they're having with files around here. Now I know why there's so much more stuff available at Civ Fanatics.

Willem, how long have you been on the apolyton boards? Anyone who isn't new knows to use pkzipfix on un-openable zips. See my sig for link.

Well my eyes tend to gloss over when I start reading about techie stuff. I guess I shouldn't complain, it's the first time I've had a problem, which isn't to bad of a track record. I guess I was just feeling cranky at the time.

OK, I can buy that it's a dust devil.
When I saw it, my eyes were kind of tired (a long day). It stll looks kind of funny to me, though.
As far as the tick vs the circle, I was used to the circle, but the tick is certainly acceptable. I can't really say I prefer one over the other.

Well that's great, I can't extract the pkzip to fix the problem. Talk about a no-win situation! Do you know of another location where I can get it, or will you make go to the bother of doing a search?

what is a dust devil?
it's just some remains of a dead animal, they're just bones, the reason its on the edge of the desert is coz the animal tried to cross the desert, but it died right after it did =o)!!!!!!!!!! I am evil sometimes
there are other hidden stuff in there, but you will never find them

Maybe it didn't download fully. I get that problem sometimes. If the file is incomplete, it won't extract.

I had a problem unzipping with stuffit expander but not with winzip 8.0. It might be a similar problem.

Did you go to the thread linked in my signature like I said? Do you guys know how to read? I friggin am hosting the file on my website all you have to do is download pkzipfix.exx and rename it it to pkzipfix.exe. then use it. How hard is that? I swear some of you absolutely cannot figure anything out without your daddy holding your hand.

Excuse me Mr. High an Mighty, but the link you provided only comes up with a corrupted zip file of pkzip! And that after going through post after post. If that's you're idea of being helpful, I think I'd rather do without it. Geez, another jerk to put on my ignore list!
PS, It's funny how I never have a problem with downloading files at Civ Fanatic, or any where else on the Internet for that matter. I suppose it must be my fault that it only happens here.

Don't f**king tell lies about me Willem. In fact, I posted the actual exe on my own site that isn't effected by apolyton's problems. I have noticed in several of your posts you get things wrong such as this and swear it is the truth. You also bullshit a lot too, you make claims but never provide proof of what you are saying.
Halfway through the thread is the following post:

IT FREAKIN WORKS!!
ok if anyone needs a copy of it, i did the searching for you and it can now be found on my website.
students.washington.edu/mizaq/pkzipfix.exx
save as pkzipfix.exe and then run it from the command window (eg pkzipfix taipei~1.zip) and then it will create a zip file named pkfixed.zip in that same directory which will contain the contents you are trying to get. now I don't have to hunt for **** at civfanatics I can just troll around here for new stuff.

Well excuse me for not reading every single word that gets written on this forum. I do have other things to do after all, and I already spend way to much time here as it is. If things aren't working right, I'm not going to bother myself with it, I have more important things to worry about. If you can't accept that, then just try and keep your high and mighty comments to yourself. If you can't be helpful without coming across like some know it all jerk, then maybe you shouldn't try to be helpful at all.
And if you had read some of my posts, you would have noticed that I readily admit when I'm not sure of something, and generally apologise if I get something wrong. And I never, ever jump down people's throats for exhibiting ignorance of something. Unlike some people around here, I try to have and to show respect for others.

Jungles are awesome!
The jungles are great! They look fantastic. The water is the best I've seen so far too. I don't like the look of pine forests everywhere, but I'm getting used to it. Guess I like the look of a nice stand of Oak or Maples better, but the pines are OK.
Keep it up Sn00py!

Freaking hell those trees around the river look great! Well done Snoopy! I hope they look that good in the game - and I hope they release the next patch so I can start playing again (only played one game of Civ3 so far).

Bug
I think this is a bug new to your mod, Sn00py, the line in the middle of the coastal land. This is the only complaint i had, however. Looks great, keep it up, we really do appreciate it!

how big is the new download? If you email it to me I will host it over the weekend (and if you don't already do it, I will also piecemeal it onto CivFan).
regardless of whether or not I host it, you could divide it up into pieces and upload it onto the civfanatics file server. Go to this page and on the very bottom is a banner. Near that banner is the javascript link to upload to the civfan server (says "upload file" and "new"). Each file must be under 3mb. Possbily the admin over there would combine it for you if you ask. Then you just link to the file in your post.
