I'd just like to record that I voted for the third option: in effect the status quo but with everything open. As a heavy editor and prolific
scenario designer, you can accuse me of lacking imagination, but I fail to see how an improved interface is going to spead things up. FW gave us an editor for copying units and editing all the texts. Everyone still used Notepad and PSP because it was all too broken up. In Notepad you open up the Rules.txt and everything you want to do is there, you don't have to jump back and forth within the in-game editor. I'd also argue for the retention of all customized info in text format for ease of editing and distribution, but again, I want to the freedom to change everything.
