Suomi Internet Translation
Due to the resent influx of Fins who are don't want to switch to a globally acceptable language, I request that the little internet translation box contains a suomi to english option.

I've looked for one, but can't find it. Babelfish doesn't cover it.

Sorry, Grrr... Babelfish doesn't have a Finnish-English option available.
Perhaps I should make one. Here's
some examples from its wordlist:
paskanmarjat - steam engine
lantakasa - ice cream
Nice and reliable translations...
BTW, long live the Finnish ACS community!

Hell no! Then how can we conspire - I mean, discuss in peace when everybody can figure out a tenth of what we are talking?

of course we need one, 'cause my english has been going
worse since I have been able to speak finnish on apolyton.
after all, 'cause finish is second official languege of/on
apolyton, translation should be provided to those who
are unable to speak finnish.

No, that is just missshowing stats.
As all Finns have voted (they drive them hard to vote), and only a few of the Americans have voted the Americans are more. You can count on how good the stats are, and you wuill find it within the error margin.

Dastardly Finns! This was done on purpose, wasn't it?

Yes, I've always wondered, why does Finnish need 17(!!!) cases?

If you are interested in pursuing this further and in a more definitive fahsion, I would recommend writing to the folks at AltaVista behind Babelfish in this regard.

This is the exact reason why I need this translator.
For the time being, can you stop talking Finnish . Try Dutch for a change.

Just remember Ravagon that when the Finnish 'translate' for you, more often than not they will 'accidently' be giving you swearwords rather than words like ice-cream
