Comrade Kleshnikov reports that military maneuvers have been pleasing after the purge. Things are beginning to take shape. No fighting has taken place at all for the Soviet Red Army.

French prime minister Paul Reynaud said in his speech that the unprovoked attacks against defenceless Denmark and Norway has showed to the whole world the real nature of Hitler and his government. The French nation together with Great Britain will stand firm in our decision to destroy the fascists and liberate all enslaved people in Europe.

Germany launches Operation Fall Gelb!
German troops tried to break through the Maginot Line, but had a lot of trouble in the process. In a daring move by the British and the French, the Maginot Line was reinforced. Despite what our scouts told us, there was a lot more opposition than there should have been. The scouts have been called to Berlin and executed for being a weak part of the Aryan race.
German troops were able to cut off many of the opposing units through an impressive airborne operation into Abbeville and Paris. This operation was able to save many lives and the units involved have been awarded the German Cross.
Troops were also able to take over the key cities of Brussel, Arnhem, Amsterdam, Antwerpen, Dunkerque, Metz, Reims, Lille, and Caen.
The German Command complained that if there was not a better result in the next month, there will be a price to pay.

Turkish army and air force continue modernization.
Turkey will remain completely neutral in current war but we propose a scientific deal to German Reich:
You give us SS troopers and panzer IV techs before October this year.
We'll give you FW-190 and Ju-88 tech in October 1940.
This is fair and beneficial for both. Similiar proposals for other civs are in preparation.

Comrade Stalin has told me that the Soviet Union is also interested in scientific exchange with our neighbors the Turks.
However, since we cannot develop Axis-style units and we assume the Turks cannot develop Soviet style units, perhaps some other solution can be reached at this time?

By me you can play for both Spain and Minor Nations until somebody else wishes to join the game and take Minors over. But such things must be decided in consensus basis. What other players think about it?

Except the German Reich, commanded by Herr Pap, is worried that the Spanish may become greedy with their new allies the Minor Nations. Monetary reperations may be in order...

London Times
Sure no problem with Minor Powers
!Response to German Offensive
Britain was amazed at the speed of desintegration of the line in the Low Countries against the Germans. Churchill said that Britain shall fight on with or without allies. Greece has announced it's support for Britain.
Tirana seized!
Greek forces with British auxiliaries managed to plow through non-existant Italian defenses to liberate Albania! Albanians are estatic and willing to join the Allied cause.
D+30 in Norway
The bridgehead at Bergen is being held against the Germans. The Norwegian people should help to throw off the chains of tyranny

May of 1940
The Soviet Union is quite busy in these times trying to settle the problem of kolectivisation of the Ukrainian agriculture. Word has it that many people are starving. Komrade Stalin has been informed and is doing his best to remedy the situation.
Still, our armies are not involved in conflict at all.
-Vasily Kleshnikov.

The French government had a crise meeting in Marseille. The Prime Minister Paul Reynaud decided to release the chief commander general Gamelin from his duties and sent him to inspect defence systems in Korsika island. General Weygand was named as a new chief commander of French armies.
Marshal Philippe Petain who tried to argue that there is no point to continue the war with Germany was appointed as a governor of Madagascar island. He was also strongly advised to take some of his followers with him.
General Weygand reported our first success against the Wehrmacht: Armored counterattack lead by general Charles de Gaulle and supported by the 1th French bomber fleet destroyed several German panzer columns near Paris.

Industrial reform continues.
To Axis: What is your answer to our proposal?
To Soviets, Allies and France: we like to establish science-pact with you - all technologies are shared between us.
To Spain/Minors: we propose mutual defence pact - if somebody attacks one of us then we all go to war against the aggressor.

Komrade Stalin agrees to an exchange of technologies on one condition: That Soviet Warships be given complete, non-tariff access to the Bospurus and the Dardenelles at all times.
This is of course not for offensive purposes against Turkey, but rather to promote proper manuverability for our Red Navy.
Komrade Stalin also wishes to point out that since (IIRC) Turkey's military is Axis based, she might want to ask Spain or the Axis themselves if they may share military technologies. The Komrade is pretty sure that even if we were to give you the tech for T-28's and Red Army and such that you still wouldn't be able to conscript these units for yourselves.
Does The Turkish Foreign Minister agree to the Soviet conditions?
-Vasily Kleshnikov.

Okaaaaaaaaaaayy then, I would prefer to have a human player as Spain soley to keep the Axis in check. I dont want to see them easily overrunning an AI Spain (sorry Pap). I think it is okay to keep going now w/o Spain, but we should get someone who wants to play to fill in ASAP.
