Nothing much happened in Spain except we are sitting and watching as the world go up in flames.
Good luck to all participants and have a nice day.

Operation Judicator Launched!
Today British and Pan-Hellenic forces launched an offensive which took Sarajevo away from 2 SS formations and a panzergruppe. Mediterrenean C-in-C Gen. Wavell is pleased with the progress and hopes to reach Bavaria and Austria by the year's end. The garrison of Sarajevo were veteran Waffen-SS, but nonetheless fell to Allied forces very easily.
Puzzling Material leads to British being stumped!
In the local Nazi Party HQ in Sarajevo, a document was found refering to the "Final Solution of the Jewish Question." British MP's and military investigative agents were puzzled at this document as it only instructed the SS to wait for orders "from above" and to act on them without question. Still there is no answer as to what this "Final Solution" is, but hopefully it will be revealed by the war's end.

February of 1941
The Balkan front was rather quiet this month, as Marshal Vasily Kleshnikov spent most of the weeks visiting the exhausted troops, and managing their equipment and supplies. There is a slight lack of valenkie during these cold winter months, but this should soon be remedied by the good Marshal.
The actions initiated this month were limeted in scale, but achieved their objectives. A 'hit and run' attack was made on Oradea again, this time by elements of the 4th Guards Tank Armee under Muzekya. This city was taken without much resistance, and the units involved fell back to defensive positions.
Also this month, working in conjunction with the Commonwealth troops involved in Operation Judicator, the advanced recon units of the 3rd Guards tank Amree under Kleshnikov himself were able to make a breakthrough past the frontlines and capture the former Jugoslavian city of Zagreb. This is a strategic position as it cuts off the Germans to the south who will be facing the Judicator forces soon. Now only the meager Italian Army may reinforce the remaining Jugoslavian cities to be liberated. Surely they will fall in due time.
-Vasily Kleshnikov.

The battle around Corsica island continues. Two squadrons of He-111 bombers were shot down and Bastia was liberated again.
Why Spain has loaded transport near Rabat? We demand immediate explanation from Spanish government and retreat of the ship.

STATEMENT FROM TURKISH-SPANISH ALLIANCE
France is not independent country anymore, its mainland is occupied by Germany. Thisway France can't have any rights over his colonies. Turkish and Spanish governments have decided to take former French West-African and Near-East colonies under our protection.
We ask other nations not to interfere with our business. Any intruder will get joint declaration of war from Turkey and Spain.
According to these decisions Turkish army entered to Beirut today morning.

Outrage in Britain
The British Government today issued the following statement:
The French Government still exists as it was moved to North Africa before the collapse of mainland France. Turkey's reasoning is completely flawed because if we assume that because the government does not control the homeland of its people, the country does not exist. Then, by that train of thought, Turkey should immediately lay down her arms and allow herself to be assumed by other countries, because her homeland in central asia is under occupation.
Second, what right does Turkey and and Spain have to these lands? None.
Third, you have violated your neutrality alliance by attacking another sovereign nation. I ask all sovereign nations, even Nazi Germany to declare war on these countries unless the following:
This is the following demand:
1. Turkey will withdraw immediately from Beirut or the Allied Nations shall declare war on her.
2. If Spain seizes territory, the Allied Nations will declare war on her.
3. If the Allied nations declare war, nothing short of unconditional surrender shall stop us.
I call on France, the Soviet Union, and Nazi Germany to help me uphold these countries' neutrality alliance.

Damn, i havent been on the net in days...
Gentlemen, we have a bit of a situation here. I want to settle this before Stalin reacts to these recent developments. In this thread, there are developments which might lead me to think our recently forceful Spanish player may have cheated. I am not acusing anything here, but I want to let all the players in the game know, and to perhaps cast a vote if Marko wants to. Untill this is settled, we will not make a statement.
-Vasily Kleshnikov.

Imperial-Markus can be in the PBEM only if there is consensus of all players about it.
If I understand correctly then at least Case is against it and it means that Spain goes back to AI.

Nutrality gets lonely in March 1941...
Okay then, I agree to such things.
Now for the Soviet Reaction to the French Question.
FROM THE DESK OF IOSEF STALIN:
This War was begun by the nation of Germany. This is a German war designed on European, if not world conquest. Their savage aggression, denounced by all, clearly positions them in the role of the protagonist. The Brave Nations which have valiantly defended their borders, but have fallen nonetheless in this war do indeed remain soverign!
Every Nation currently occipied by the fascists hold a government-in-exile either in London or Moscow. These men will not turn a blind eye to what happens to their people during occupation. Their legal status, guarenteed by the Allied Powers, continues to be enforced, and they will retain their colonial possetions. No one shall stab the back of nations currently involved in fighting fascistic tyranny! No one could forsee the fall of France, nor could anyone prevent it. However, she has fought with the utmost bravery in conjunction with the British in the desert, achieved total victory on the front. She will not be abandoned now.
Turkey has made the vital mistake of hindering the war effort of the Allied powers against Germany. She is now considered in league with Germany herself at Moscow. Turkey may not be so willing to talk tough now that she has no allies as it gets quite lonely with 3 nations gunning for you. The recent coup in Spain should be heeded as an omen not to continue your unlawful and criminal occupation of Beirut.
The Soviet Union therefore puts for its conditions for Turkey. There will be no discussion. Accept them, or become a Soviet Socialist Republic:
Turkey has untill the Soviet turn is ready to play to decide if it will withdraw from Beirut or continue its occupation. The Soviet Union will not take its March 1941 turn untill it has heard from Turkey.
If Turkey decides to withdraw, then all things can calm down. However, if no response is heard in a timely fashion, or a denial of the terms is issued, then the Soviet Union will exist in a state of War with Turkey and our People's Army will run you into the ground mercelessly.
Whether or not the British and French care to join is no matter to us now. You have threatened our southern border with warefare, and hindered our ability to move against the Germans. For this you shall be eliminated so as we may get on with the business of killing Germans.
It is a shame this had to happen, as we have enjoyed good relation with the Turks in the past.
-Vasily Kleshnikov.

It seems that Markus has vanished from the face of the earth, so even I I did want him in this game [which I don't] then we'd still need a new Spanish Player
----------------
The German government is appaled at Soviet hpyocracy. A nation which has initiated a war of agression against the peace loving German people has no right to lecture other nations who seek to expand their borders against the Allied swine.

Soviet hypocrisy? Germany invades Yugoslavia for no aparent reason Also the Grad Alliance will not tolerate other countries pushing around our Allies. So Spain and Turkey: imeediately withdraw or face the consequences. The Allies support the Soviet ultimatum, and plan to also have it apply to Spain.
OOC: Sounds fine. Welcome Grothgar.
