If you right-click on a city in the large map view you should be provided with information such as-
-Population (200,000- 500K)
-Happiness
-Number of Entertainers/Taxcollectors/Scientists
-Trade Routes

I think that every right-clicking action on the main map should be context-sensitive. Right-clicking on a city should provide you with a menu of options. The topmost of these options can lead to the info you ask for.
However it is important that you get above info in a mini-window that appears
automatically by rightclick-and-hold action. Then you release the right-click, both the mini-window and the menu itself should disappear automatically. Everything in order to
reduce the amount of mouse-clicking as much as reasonably possible.

By the same token you should be able to right click on a unit in addition to the side bar, or you could elliminate the sidebar and implement only this.
And be provided with
-Morale
-Rating
-Experience
-Status Bar

I think both Morale and Health can be displayed as status-bars in conjunction with the unit,
without having to rightclick. The Experience-factor can be displayed by coloured details on the uniform/unit itself.
With Rating i presume you mean attack/defence-numbers and so on. This can be displayed as a topmost right-click menu alternative; again rightclick-and-hold for automatic info-popups and closeups. Yet another menu-alternative can lead to the Civilopedia for more in-depth background information.

Again rightclick-and-hold action for automatic info-popups and closups. A secondary menu-alternative can lead to the Civilopedia for more in-depth background information.
