Seriously there is information here on apolyton ( http://apolyton.net/civ3/) and on Firaxis site ( http://www.firaxis.com/civ3/) is also pictures.
The date is a big questionmark sofar. If you know anything on possible date, tell us.

right before the website launch, someone made a prophecy and it turned out to be right! I invite him/her to make a prophecy about the Civ III release, and maybe it'll work one more time.
(my suggestion: make the prophecy that it'll be released today)

Let's be careful - we do not want to pressure Firaxis to rush and only do a half-job. I want this to be an excellent game.

August 2001.
dont jump on me if its wrong, I am just passing on things other people tell me.

Being optimistic, I expect them to eitehr go for the holiday season this year, or a few months thereafter. A game that has to live up to the expectations of Civ3 will need to be extensively playtested to flush out most of the bugs, and to make sure that everything is just right.

And if it's buggy like CTP2... they darn well better support it. Take your time Firaxis, I'll buy it if it comes out in August only if there are very limited bugs, but if it comes out in December with lots of bugs I'll just be pissed.
