Turn sent to Lord FlameFlash of the Mermaids, 2117 AD

Hmmm. Last turn I got was 2117, which i played and sent to GT at approx. 0210 GMT 15.04.02. 'Poly was down then, so I didn't post.
FlameFlash, does the above post refer to that turn or to the subsequent 2118? If the latter, I haven't received it and will require a re-send.
Avoiding confusion like this is why it'sa good idea to include the turn number(or, more accurately, the MY number) in turn passage posts.
Mong, who can't quite believe that it's actually 2118 under discussion, a mere 36 hours after he sent on 2117.

I'm not sure... I'll do some checking and see though I'm fairly sure it was 2117 and NOT 2118... I got to 'poly at work and can't really check to see which one, nor put in the date, just remembering the fiasco about not posting that I'd sent out the turn...
The only turn I have here at work in my folders is 2117 though, and since everything sits on the servers for a day before it gets knocked off (so I can read messages at work and respond to them at home) I'm probably sitting here waiting for 2118 like you are mongoose.

Tick, tick, tick. Now what? 27 hours and counting.
IMO, this game is just about dead.

****ing lovely! Shai posted a turn passage two hours ago at CGN. Not a bloody word here. K2, maybe a resend, accompanied by a virtual kick in the ass?

CGN? Where's that? And are we reporting there as well now?

Mong's AW1 turn process:
1)Download email from Flameflash
2)unzip turn
3)place AW AC.ini into SMAC folder
4a)move three boats
4b)check three bases for drone riots next turn
5)end turn
6)zip turn
7)mail to GT
8)post passage at 'Poly
9)WAIT A WEEK!!
repeat

What's wrong Mong? I sent out the turn in your direction two days ago... didn't you get it? Resending just in case.

I already got and played 2118, FlameFlash, thanx. That was...close to two days ago. (see 5 posts up)
I re-sent to GT almost 24 hours ago. (3 posts up) I saw him in and out of 'Poly several times about the same time I re-sent the turn.
I do not know if he played and did not post, or if he hasn't received either send or what the story is.
A turn a week is simply not acceptable as a rate of play.
Something or somebody is going to have to change.
Else, we might as well just give up this game for dead.

Well... glad it's not on my end, but you're right... I'm kind of holding out for the end of semester/summer border. Finals, papers, and other things sometimes do take time away from gaming... once we're into mid-May is when I know I'll start complaining.

Well, GeneralTacitus should have it now. You should just remind him instead of posting here. I know the turn was stuck a few days in my mail box too, really sorry about that. But I'm most often playing my turns inside 24h. I have also witnessed some mysterious mail problems(rare though) in which turns simply don't get delivered.

When you're sending them off to GT or when is it that they don't get delivered?

Shai - How else to remind him if he's either not reading or not receiving his mail? I KNOW he's still coming here. He posted at 'Poly 7 times in the past 5+ hours! So which is it...he doesn't check his turn threads or he does, but doesn't bother to respond?
And I DID resend the turn after 24 hours as a reminder. Even included a warm, fuzzy note on the transmittal:
GT,
I sent this yesterday. Did you ever receive it?
Mongoose
Yes, that's as warm and fuzzy as I can get, right now.
