We have one disk for about ten people who use Civ2 and I'm still trying to track it down. But my latest lead is on holiday.

Why the confusion? Have you forgotten that this game is cursed?

ScheiBe! I had played the turn the other day when my line was down but forgot to post it.
Apologies
The Luftwaffe, to show that the Soviet attacks have far from crippled here, launched several attacks from airfields in Poland and Russia which decimated the Russian attack forces. Astrakhan was seized and it is believed that soon, Russia will have collapsed.

Nothing whatsoever happened. Especially not in Anchorage. Yep, it sure was a quiet month.

Geez, I expected you to wipe out the units next to the city and maybe even take it back, but not to empty that fortress! I cleverly put a ton of offensive troops there to counterattack against your counterattack, and then I come back and 24 units have vanished!!!
This was definitely my last desperate gamble; unless the Anglo-Allies pull something off now, all I'm going to get to do is just kill as many Krauts as I can before dying.
For your viewing pleasure, behold the battle of Kharkov, which will certainly become a case study in aerospace doctrine in the future. Half the Red Army annihilated, without the need for a single tank:

Chief of the Soviet General Staff Georgei Zhukov had front-loaded, gambled, and lost. Naturally he was ready when the NKVD came to pick him up at his headquarters in Orel. He smiled to himself and thought with a hint of humor: ‘In war there are no great and indispensable generals, only great and indispensable leaders.’ Perhaps, if he had the luxury of learning from his mistakes he might have developed into a first-rate military figure, a great captain of Russia, perhaps even of the world.
But in Stalin’s Russia, mistakes are not tolerated, not even by favorites. The general’s assistant had retrieved the small suitcase that every Soviet officer kept for such a contingency. It contained a change of underwear, a pair of socks, a metal cup and spoon, a bag of biscuits, some tea, and a picture of his wife. It was one of the bitter lessons Russian officers had learned from the Purges. The NKVD officers treated him with a certain deference as they invited him into the car. He gave a curt nod to his staff and the car was on its way.

Red Army Shattered! Kharkov Occupied Without Casualties!
Kharkov.- (from our correspondents) After the shattering of the Russian offensive last month and von Manstein's preparation of a new offensive against the Kharkov region in the Ukraine sent hundreds of German fighters into the air from bases in the Ukraine to scout the region. Much to the OKW's surprise, columns of Russian soldiers, infantrymen and artillery were seen marching along the muddy roads, marching east. This impressive discovery prompted Manstein to order the advance without further preparation, and when Kharkov was liberated not a single communist remained in the area. This surprising events simply put in evidence that the Red Army has been shattered by the superior forces of fascism. As such, Hermann Goering, Air Feldmarschal of the Luftwaffe, ordered a massive bombing campaign against Riga, while Hitler himself ordered three Panzer divisions to reoccupy the city, and several panzergrenadier divisions in assistance. After brief combat, ill equipped, ill prepared Soviet forces were either destroyed or surrendered en masse and Riga was taken without casualties. The morale of the Wermacht and Luftwaffe is at an all time high and Moscow is expected to fall before Christmas.

- Riga recaptured, although the forces we faced were light. The bombers and division of Panther tanks nearby were also destroyed.
- A raid on the front before Moscow destroys some 8 units, six of which were foolishly stacked.
- A minor attack on Vladivostok destroys several infantry divisions.
