Haven't played in ages. I never got beyond the initial building stage thouhg (one good probe would blast me to space dust)

It's a good game that can use some updating in graphics. I just don't like the way combats are resolved, so I let the computer handle it.

I have completed the game once. You need a slow computer to play it though, it is still to fast on my P200.

Did you manage to take out the Ur-Quan/Kohr-Ah battleship at the end with anything other than those Fury ships?
I've tried several times but the furies were the only thing I had that were fast enough to outmaneuver its weapons.

Hm, good question. I think I used my own ship to take it out. But it's fuzzy at this point

I'm fairly sure the game slows itself down... there's a /hyper command that'll boost up the speed of the game considerably.
The main problem is that when you load the game on a modern computer the graphics will not have the proper pallete (There is another command switch to fix that though...).

Ah StarCon2 is certainly an admirable contender for greatest game of all time.
