Kingdom Hearts... Squaresoft and... Disney?
http://www.thegia.com/psx2/khearts/khearts.html
I'm not sure what to think of this yet. If we get to have WD characters deal with some raw bloody battle, awesome, but if we're just gonna have a Square RPG with WD mellowness (wich can be good in a movie, but not in a game like that) not so very awesome.
What's the general oppinion here. (oh for the unenlightened, Squaresoft's the company behind the Final Fantasy series)

sounds like an RPG for kids, i doubt that Mickey is going to be dishing out any significant quantities of blood and gore

preview
IGN have a preview of it up on their site at the moment.
it'll be aimed at little kiddies obviously, but the Disney/Square crossover of characters sounds fun ... have you ever wondered what would happen if Mickey Mouse met Zidane from FF9? .... no, neither have i ... but it sounds weird.

I just got an email from square about this game. went to the website and viewed the trailer. Seems they through every fricking single disney character into it. (except mulan and pocahantas, didnt see those two) tarzan, check, ariel -little mermaid, check. the lion king, check. seemed that the party was a kid and donald the duck and goofy. hmm. the kid looked like the generic ss character, like a minature cloud w/brown hair.
maybe this will be better than the squares other kiddie rpg game, ff mystic quest. what a bore. oh, it on ps2

the website for the game is here
I just read the gamespot review, it seems this is a cross between the more recent platform games, running and jumping etc. and the ff games, except the battles are in real time. and there are characters from the ff games (including moogles) and disney running the shops or in the story.
I'm embarrased to say that I would probably like this game. Especially if there was a sidequest to date ariel, ala ff7. shes so hot. damn

I don't like this Disney crap either, but remember Super Mario RPG? That turned out to be a really fun RPG in and of itself, so I think it's worth giving Kingdom Hearts a whirl.
Honestly, the previews sound like I'll enjoy this game despite it's Disney influences (and I _REALLY_ dispise Disney).
