What if there's a tie for the top 4? Will there be more than four in the finals, or a special qualification round, or what? If we would end it now, it would be Bored, Generations, Means, and then 6 or something tied for the last spot...

Depends how it works out. If there's a couple ties, I think just putting all of them in the final would be best. If there are lots of ties, then maybe another round or something.

idea
suggestion: if this poll is done before we have 16 more seconded nominations, why not just have the finals with just the 4 from this one, then do the same with the next 16, and so on. It probably wouldn't be a weekly competition, but we could get a mod to sticky the nominations thread and have a winner every 2-3 weeks...i might actually take longer to get 16 good stories because a lot of the ones in this round are not new...

Yeah. The story contest is only for this forum. Stories can be nominated from other places, but a link must be given or they must be reposted on this forums (for example Grecian by Toasty). Speaking of grecian, with the tenth voter, it has gained a qualifying position so far!
