ImMORAL WompRAT is trying to fix the poll.

You wanna watch that spelling. I wasn't trying to fix the poll, I was testing to see whether:
a) It was possible,
b) People vote before or after they read the thread.
So boo hoo hoo.

I allready said I clicked on it.
Since I had voted allready it didn't work. It may or may not work for those that had yet to vote.
By the way I am not Civman2000. Please do not attribute my deathless prose to others. Your perfidy will live on in infamy.

My spelling is so bad I may be able to convince Ming that it was an accident. You may delude yourself if you wish.

Right and I accidently misspelled your name. I am so depressed about it I will have to install a spell checker.

Oh come now, what kind of an example is it for you to put an "unhappy pissed-off" face on a post asking people to chill out?
Try this...

Not quite. By flaming someone deserving . Flaming the innocent is just bad manners. Only sociopaths and used car salesmen would do that.
Or me by accident.

And what made him deserving you ask. His 'test link' is supposed to give a vote by those who click on it. A vote for the fifth option.
Thats up to three now. I assume the first one was his. The other two could be legitimate or they could the product of his link. Who knows? It doesn't work if you have allready voted.

I figured *Banana* was the answer to *wuzzat?*
Hence I legitimately voted for option 5. That's 2 accounted for. If you could find Dan from Firaxis you might have 3.

I voted #2. But the correct answer would be : "it's a great game. It could have been extraordinary if not for the big flaws"
About polls losing credibility because of the possible answers : it's well known to everyone making polls for a living that the question and the possible answers do influence the outcome. Pollmakers can use this at their advantage (or rather to their client's advantage) or try to make polls as neutral as possible. Asking good questions and proposing good answers is a job, which needs some education, that's why most polls here lack at credibility. This one is quite correct from an non-professional.

No doubt that with IE6, people probably have part of Windows XP in their system, now if Microsoft was really compatible, I would not have to read about all the games that do not work with that system, but have to work in a compatible mode.
Next, all the books, and updates, programmers have to read to make a game that works on all OS's, I think you get the drift.
If CIVIII has a few flaws, its probably because they are actually trying to program a game, not some fluff that means in two months, people decided that the game had not much of anything in it but graphics. Graphics still only add to a game, but just my opinion, the complexity of CivIII, some people should allow for flaws, yet.
It would be impossible to thoroughly test each decision a person can make while playing the game.
I just do not remember any game worth anything that did not need updates to it, and remember that CivII and SMAC were all updated and changed around in the end to reflect what customers wanted.
Still, one has the editor to change things around in the game, although not perfect now.
It all takes time and money, so this mega super game anyone wants still has to be invented and programmed, and that will take 'time and money'.
Take a break, play CivIII.
What other game have you played lately where you can be so utterly disgusted and still have fun seeing if you can just 'kill this game by winning and beating it very badly'.
Bad!

Circle the answer that is most correct:
1. "The people I talked to were expecting a great game."
2. "The people I talked to were expecting a game very much like Civ2 or SMAC, with no basic changes to design philosophy, but even better."
