Will you buy an XP?
It seems to me that Civ3 is becoming more like on ongoing product than games used to be. Apolyton and CivFanatics provide a community and connection to Firaxis that is dramatically more effective than game developers have previously had.
Thus, the game will evolve, with patches, then XPs, then MP.
BUT, only if Firaxis / Infrogrames can justify the ongoing investments in development and marketing.
Wellll, I want to make it totally clear: I will buy every damn thing you offer me. I even bought the stinkin' Prima guide!!
Whether your a fanboy, a whiner, a troll, or to use Sombrero definitions, "the helpful researcher, the informative poster, the cool headed responder, or the ignore-lister" you are obviously passionate about Civ3 enough to be here... so let's make sure Firaxis knows we'll be there to pay off there investments!!

if there's scenario support, MP, and if they're good, and if the price is reasonable... then yes, otherwise not a chance, no more tin cans full of crap for me

By default, no, but it all depends on what it has. If it adds a lot of content, new everything. Multiplayer, full scenario support, etc... then maybe. Depends on price too.

I'd have to go with Elucidus here. It depends on what's in it. Scenario's and mods don't interest me much. Neither does MP, so if that's it I probably won't go for it.
New features, graphics, improved gameplay, toggles, wonder movies, civ2 advisor movies more wonders, more civs. That would appeal to me.
