Talk about stupid. Those have nothing to do with a hex editor you idiot. If someone is hex editing the game you'll never know it unless you look at the saves. You just accused a guy of cheating without even the slightest bit of reason. And if I were him I would have left too seeing as how you're a complete rook.
I did not accuse. I asked a question based on advice written by respectable people in these forums. I don't know how hex stuff works and many others don't either. Is cheat-a-matic a hex editor? Are you saying there is no way you can detect any symptons 'during' play? If not, who posted those symptons and why?

Any other advice you can offer so that decent honest players can be vigilant against cheats?

"AH didn't say it was King Level (what a wooss)"

Considering experts play on King and the only people I know of that play deity are rookies like you, doesn't say much.
Yeah, I'm just a rookie, along with Markus, Nappy, Makeo, arii and smartfart. Not that I'm as good as them but we mostly prefer 1x1x deity level as the 'norm'... And we play proper Civ MP with more than two players, btw.

"damn coulda been out exploring instead of leaving warriors at home!"

Is that an excuse for your incredibly poor skills in this game? I'm sorry, but there is no amount of knowledge that could ever make you a better player.
Have you no sense of humour? LOL

"I asked the question in King Chat. How else can you do it? You have to be direct about this sort of thing."

Well if you were smart, and you're obviously not, you would have saved the game at regular intervals and then examined the save. However, you aren't the sharpest tool in the shed as is obvious by your statements. I hate stupid people, and you are definitely one of the dumbest I have ever met.
*the McEnroe syndrome* - those that strike the hardest become the bluntest.

As for my name horse, it was "All my hate". I took it from a Korn song called All My Hate. You should listen to it some time, great song.
Nice little suck up to Horse to make you feel secure in your arguments...

And you lasted ONE turn in that game?

Pathetic. You had a chance to meet your maker and you quit.

See? You should have asked an expert Deity

That game was a blast -not so much the gameplay but it was nice having drop ins like Eyes and Markusf; and we met some new players. The KC was hilarious.

"Yeah, I'm just a rookie, along with Markus, Nappy, Makeo, arii and smartfart."

Yeah, I'd have to agree with you on that one 100%.

"Have you no sense of humour? LOL"

If that is your sense of humor then you are severly lacking in that department.

"Nice little suck up to Horse to make you feel secure in your arguments..."

I've never sucked up to anyone nor will I ever. That was one of the dumbest statements you've ever made. If you had learned to read you'd see I was simply correcting AH on his poor memory of my name.

"And you lasted ONE turn in that game?

Pathetic. You had a chance to meet your maker and you quit."

Excuse me, but it was 900BC when I joined that game and the most cities any of you had was 7. LOL What a bunch of ****ing idiots. I have that many by 3000BC usually. As for meeting my maker? lol This coming from the guy who play on deity. Deity is for those who don't know how to expand or do anything else so they play a level that will bring everyone down to the same level due to the restrictions placed on each player. It is obvious to me that are you clearly outmatched both in skill and in wits.

"Any other advice you can offer so that decent honest players can be vigilant against cheats?"

Sure. Learn how to think and rationalize properly and I would also suggest investing in a healthy dose of common sense. You sound like someone who is trying to sound like an intelligent and skilled player when you are obviously not either.

You obviously don't play 'proper' Civ2 MULTI Player...

You seem afraid of connecting with people. The slightest suggestion that you need security throws you into a spin.

You're just another quitter that suffers from the McEnroe syndrome.
If the settings and conditions don't suit, you bail. I doubt you've ever enjoyed the true civ game - just an extreme perfectionist that's gone off the rails.

Thanks for the 'intelligent' advice. You obviously see in others what you fear in yourself.

"You obviously don't play 'proper' Civ2 MULTI Player... "

Thanks for informing me...way to take it to me. YOU THE MAN!

"You seem afraid of connecting with people. The slightest suggestion that you need security throws you into a spin."

It's almost like you're trying to use other attacks people have used but you can't seem to follow through on them?

"You're just another quitter that suffers from the McEnroe syndrome."

Actually I throw my racquet far further than McEnroe ever did. Mine goes over the fence and into the trees. See throwing onto the court like McEnroe did is how a ***** throws the racquet. A true man throws it as high and far as he can. If you can get it stuck in the branches then you're a true man. And in tournaments it serves another purpose. It forces you to take a nice 1-2min breaking walking to retrieve your racquet. But the real reason you do it is because the girls go "oohhhh!! AHHH!!" when they see how far you can throw it. So I guess I need my own syndrome.

"If the settings and conditions don't suit, you bail. I doubt you've ever enjoyed the true civ game - just an extreme perfectionist that's gone off the rails."

This coming from the guy who plays only one setting and insists that this is the true form of civ. I play all settings except deity 1x1x, you on the other hand play only deity 1x1x.

"You obviously see in others what you fear in yourself."

Yes, I see your weakness, I see your stupidity, I am so thankful that I am not like you.

You didn't know he was a tennis brat too did you Deity

I did - Sean and I have talked tennis before.

Hey Sean, when you throw your racquet do you shout, "You CANNOT BE SERIOUS!" ?

I used to love that and it would be a nice little homage to John Mc

Come on, you have to do a little tribute to Big John sometimes.

My take on all this is if you and Markusf put as much energy into your studies as you do into civ you go both really go places in life

Aaah, an enjoyable AH EYES exchange

Never having gone to the ZONE to play, I would ask one question,
What settings are the most prevelant?

Since they just recently played the cubs, I heard the song OFTEN ENOUGH

AC/DC's "Hell's Bells," is the song they play in SD when Hoffman comes in... is that the song you were thinking of?

Geeze War, good description. Could be almost anything. The twinkling then the boom.
That could also describe the Allen Parsons song they use to introduce the Chicago Bulls, and the Pheonex Suns.

But if it is the one for Trevor, then Ming hit it.

Rich

It's Allen Parsons project. But I can't remember the exact name of the piece.

They used to play it at Nebraska home football games when the team came out on the field. Back when I was in Nebraska .

Very cool stuff though, and really motivational.

I wouldn't try to describe it, but as bad as your description was, I was still able to find it. I would have just called the the BULLs intro.
