Rather than slow down the game any further, I suggest Soundwave just take Russia and then there will be no problem with production or anything. I'll PM him.

Darius: I tried to do what you did ie make it into a hotseat, but when I went to enable cheat mode or the scenario editor, it wouldn't let me because the other civs are password protected.
Also, why would sending it to soundwave help? MJ had the same problem with Russia before.

What same problem? He couldn't manufacture?
Anyhow, I don't know how to explain the hotseat transfer in words, so I don't know what to do. It's moot anyhow. I can't exactly tape the process and send you the video (the file would be huge).

lol, ok I see. Well, tried and it might work if we all had the passwords removed...
Well, MJ had the same thing as you with production switching.

As I mentioned in the other thread, my computer has died after I installed Windows XP. This and real life problems (employment, mostly) are really limiting my internet access. I would appreciate it if MagyarCrusader could play my turn until I get back (probably in a week or so, hopefully not longer).

OK I'll play... although that may mean Germany will be dead by the time you're back. ANZAC, go ahead and post the game. Scott, please mail me your pass. mihaly@jeszenka.com

I thought we would want to sort this hotseat transfer/have someone take Russia issue out first. It's a simple fact that as long as Russia can't build anything, the game is already lost to the allies.

OK I say we have henrik remove the password. Because the way I was going to do it, make it a .scn file as Darius says requires I do that.

But you don't need the passwords out to do it. I did it and it said nothing about passwords.

Give it to Henrik... or do whatever needs to be done.

That's really funny. Because I went to the scenario editor attmpted to enable it so I could activate cheat mode, and it said the other players are password protected and wouldn't let me do it. I tried the same with the cheat menu to no avail. So how did you do it Darius? It can't be that difficult or complicated.

You mean, it can't be complicated if Darius was able to do it???
Sorry Darius, just couldn't help saying it...

Huh. I started making an array of screenshots when I found out what the difference is: for some reason my cheat mode was already activated when I conventionally loaded the game. My cheat mode is off when I'm doing a multiplayer turn, but when I load a .net conventionally the cheat menu is already on when I haven't even done anything.
Furthermore, just out of curiosity I attempted to shut it off, and it gave me this message, even though the menu is already active:

Ok, today I'm going around trying to find subs for all my games as I will also be gone for three weeks, from Thursday, June 20 to Thursday, July 11 to be precise. I am going to put up threads here and at Apolyton to hunt for subs, but before I do so I'm going to all of the games in which my civs have allies and asking whether my allied player would be willing to do my turns while I'm gone.
ANZAC, would you throw in the other two allies' turns while I'm gone, or should I find a sub for this one? Italy's are very short, and Russia's are entertaining enough to be worthwhile. Reply soon as I need to put up those sub-hunt threads soon.

I am going to be gone from June 21/22 to July 2/3 so I will miss most of it. I'd say get another sub as I will only be able to play your turns for 2 days.

Out of my 15 PBEM's I managed to get subs for 10 of them, and unfortunately this is one of the ones without a sub. Since ANZAC and I will be gone at roughly the same time, and Scott is gone indefinitely, is it a possibility to take a break on this one until when I get back on the 11th?

ok, I think we can continue as Lazy Civ 3 is out and should work on restoring Russia's production from the previous turn.

All right:
- Further slaughter of poorly assembled Austrian troops west of Lemburg.
- Continued German timidity on the eastern front has allowed Russian troops to thoroughly pillage all links between our territory and that captured by the Germans. Furthermore, a solid defensive line has been built in this gap. Their timidity has also allowed Russian industry to be more reliable, so many new troops have been created and are already at the front.
It is unlikely that Russia will again fall for Germany's shock tactics as there are no necessary railroads anywhere and the distance of the gap we've created is so large that their labor forces are inadequate to build new ones in merely one turn. It seems the worst is over.
