What should I buy?
I have played Civ2 before and loved it. Now I want my own copy but with so many versions which should I buy? ToT looks to have many neat new features over Civ2. Is it worth it? Or should I buy Call To Power? Can I play against someone else head to head ie not over a LAN?
Thanks for your time.

All of them.
I have them all. But i'd recomend MGE, because it has all the expansion packs and allows multiplay.

I think that Civ2 MGE is still where the action is...
And Civ2 is still the best starting point. Get it first (it's not that expensive) and play it until you feel a lack of some aspect that could be better presented in one of those specialty offshoots.

What those guys said!
Stick to the original, but make sure it's multiplayer.

Well I bought the original single CD CIV2. I just could not find MGE locally and I needed a CIV2 fix. Now I just need to figure out what happened to the past 2 nights of my life. This game is too addicting!
Thanks for all of your posts.
